Just received a text from this # trying to get my email address so they could set up payment terms with me for something I was trying to sell on Craig's List.  I told them there is only one payment term and that would be cash.  I also told them this feels like a scam and not to contact me any further.

Told me I owed Cash Advance USA and I was going to jail

I have gotten several phone calls from this number as well.  He calls himself Officer Rudy Parker.  He has a thick Indian accent and at first, I thought it was an actual creditor.  First few messages were "call us about an important matter, blah blah, phone number"  Then today, the change happened.  NOW he is saying that if I don't call immediatly, I will be arrested and that they will call my manager and have me fired.  

They also called my BF and left the same message.  He called them and spoke with "Rudy Parker" he kept asking for my BFs name.  He told them no, asked what company they worked for and was hung up on three times.  Finally, he got into a "fight" with "Mr. Parker" and was called a criminal and a murderer.  Too funny!!  You don't know my NAME, but I'm a murderer?  Whatever!!!

Needless to say, we never got an answer as to who they are, but I know it is a scam.  I do not have any payday loans or anything of that nature.  Plus, if they were a real debt collector, they would know the surest way to get their case dismissed is to threaten me...  

It ended with the guy screaming how he was going to come and take our money, our cars, and our house.  Pathetic!  The scary thing? they know the last 4 of my social, my name, phone number and my address.... I'm going to report it to www.econsumer.gov... and hope for the best!

Had similar experience, called on cell then called work... Pretending to be some sort of official govt agency, but sounds like English isn't his best language :)  I did call back from a blocked line and got a cheesy voicemail.  His name was officer Rudy Parker... Gave 2 different numbers...646 535 7194 and 646 535 9079.  So obviously a scam, but should not be allowed to terrorize people.  His message at work was left as if from NYC Federal Crimes Investigative Unit.

I got a call too.  Threatened me that I had three raud charges and was being sued.  owed 5800 but I could pay $598 now.

Phone call from Indian speaking man who threathened me with jail if I didnbt pay the $600 plus that my son owes because of internet fraud.

Are they threating u with jail?????

Fraud division son commited internet fraud.   We will both be going to jail if $600.00 isnt paid.
