I also got this message at work Cathy.  He said the same thing.  I saved the message on my phone.

"JAKE TYLER" PHONED ME TODAY AT MY WORK AND THREATENED ME WITH SOME PAY DAY LOAN CRAP. thEY SAID THEY ARE GOING TO SUE ME ETC. i INFORMED THEM THAT i NEED VALIDATION OF DEBIT AND HE GOT VERY HOSTLE, MAJOR SCAM!!!!! iF YOU HAVE A CELL PHONE AND WANT TO REALLY MAKE THEM GO AWAY, I SUGGEST GETTING THE APPCALLEDMR. NUMBER AS IT BLOCKS SPAM CALLS BY EITHER SENDING IT STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL OR IT HANGS UP ON THEM.

I just called our city's non-emergency number and filed a police report. i'll let you know what happens.

these people keep calling and irritating everyone at my job. I've filed complaints against them with the ftc and my number is on the do not call list. i'm getting ready to file a complaint with the police department.

I got a call from 646-535-9316 at work...I answered it to a man whom Identified himself as Officer James Proctor with the FBI...he had my social my banking info and my birthdate and my place of work he said he is with the FBI and would be sending me legal papers in the mail to see him in court...of course I asked what this was all about and he couldn't tell me what company he was calling for...I hung up on him...he called me back 6 times back to back at work and said he was trying to get me fired!!! How do I stop this!!!

Y'all, they are not a collection agency. They are spam. What they are doing, is trying to steal your information and use it. If you continue to have issues with phone calls from them, please go to this website and report the number(s) that are calling you. This is a website that I got from the FBI today when I went to complain to them about the phone calls that have gotten out of control and have moved from plain stupid to threatening.

Do not under any circumstances give them any of your information! Report them until the FBI or another department gets enough complaints that they can justify putting out the resources necessary to catch these idiots.

I got the exact call. Don't believe it is real because u should have received something in the mail. He has all my info as well. I applied for a loan but never got 1. So don't worry

I also got a phone call saying I owe loan ppl and if I didn't pay 500  in a half of hour I would be put in jail as of Monday 4/22. I should bring my lawyer and 12,000 dollars. The man also had a Indian accent. He threatened I would lose my job and be in jail for 160 days.

I live pittsburgh. Pa and im getting the same phone call and he threathen my place where i work and my home. He said his name was jake and his last name. Should i be concerned and take legal action or report it and where? Not sure what to do here

He calls and says that his name is officer james parker and he's charging me with fraud cause of my payday loans and its a civil matter!  I call back and he says that he feels sorry fo me cause i'm in deep trouble and i'll be behind bars!  He also says my social security number and tells me where i'm from!  He then says that me and my lawyer are fraud people!

Lol..Same thing.  I couldnt believe he called my job demanding me to pay for loan. States whats ur attorneys number I tell h8m I have no attorney. He says im gonna be out of a job and the are gonna freeze my bank account.  He wouldnt even give me any information I know this is a scam....asked me what my bosses name was. I am the boss crazy...

We are getting calls from the same number but he said his name is James Parker and he works for the State Credit Bureau. We have contacted WWW.ic3.gov which works with the FBI.

the same guy with the same number called me today with the exact same message except the state he said was Maine not Indiana. I have already reported this matter.

He read me my social as well this needs to be reported to the police ASAP I'm worried he may ruin my credit having my info which he should not

I too am getting this message.  I started getting this message after I applied for a payday loan online.  Is that how everyone else is getting calls from this man?  He sent me a new message.  all information the same, "his name is officer James Parker from the credit bureau of Michigan. stated he has my social security number, drivers license number and banking information, that my name has appeared on a default list regarding criminal allegations.  If I don't return his call, a legal representative will be sent to my home and place of employment.  If I want to take care of this matter, I need to return his phone call.  Then he ends the call with saying "have a blessed day"  He changed it a little bit about returning his call within a couple of hours.  He called the 2nd time repeating all of this, but this time he actually repeated my social security number.  Is he really legit, or do I now have to worry that he may actually have my information and I need to call someone? Please help...

Today he called left a message I called him back. He simply stated to get an attorney he is calling to tell me they are charging me with fraud. I asked what kind of fraud and to whom. he just said im calling to inform you your being charged and ill call your employer to tell them your a fraud. he then hung up. I had this same guy call about 6-7 months ago and try this and i called him out on the fraud he is by seeing all these posts by everyone. He hung up and left me alone for awhile. But guess hes back at it.

This is a scam!! Beware!  I have no criminal activity, no past due bills, etc!

I too received a call from this person a few minutes ago and I am going to report him the FBI Scam section. He told me the same stuff I read above.

They told me that if I or my lawyer didn't call by end of day. They would file charges for fraud. They would send the police  to my work and my home. He threated to put me in jail for 160 days. When I asked him to please mail me a copy of the papers he wouldn't He said the police would contact me. and hung up. When I called back the next day they still would not give me any info. Not even the company that is pursuing me. He rudely told me not to ever call again that he would see me in court.

He's unbelievable!  What a scam!  I'd like for him and all of his buddies to meet the business end of my .45!

Received message from John Harrison (heavy accent) twice within two minutes.  He stated that I or my retained attorney of record was to call this number right away about a legal matter and that if I didn't call all he could do was wish me good luck.  He did not state a company name  Message was exactly the same both times, so I assume he was reading it or has it memorized and didn't realize he had called the same number twice.  I have no intention of returning the call.

I had a call from this number called name is Michael Splanger. Said there would a lawsuit  going to court as of tomorrow 3/21/13 due to defaulting on a payday loan.  I told him that I was getting a lawyer to file harrassment charges, also going to report to the FBI.  He said he would be glad to see me in court, but would not give the name of the court house or court room number, he said I had already gotten this information.  I told him I have never received anything, he said he would be contacting my boss.  But I am the boss, so I don't know who he will be contacting.  They just don't stop.  He has a strong accent.  I asked to speak to his supervisor and he put himself back on the phone.

Today I received ANOTHER call from an Indian decent man by the name Jason Smith, (as unknown caller) stating he has called me several times on my cell & work # stating he is from the Legal Assoc./Legislation, etc. that if I or my atty does not return his call by the end of the day, I would be receiving a lawsuit at my job & home! I returned call to # He left 646-535-9316 to call back .I asked for Jason. he asked who was calling & I stated my name. I advised him that I was recording the call & he stated their calls are recorded also. Good! I asked what was the purpose of his call & what was the nature of his call. He kept saying "what did I say on your voicemail"? I advised I did not hear him clearly & to please advise the nature of his call..5X's & HE NEVER WOULD! I advised him I would be reporting him to the ATTY GENERAL'S OFC, BBB & FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION & TO CEASE & DESIST CALLS...HE HUNG UP ON ME!!  I can't believe the nerve of these ppl!
