I Also got a call from office James Conner - Fulton County Police Department ( 734) 678 9000 that I have federal crime complaints against me and they would send officers tov  arrest me within 30 minutes if I did not call back. A guy with "Indian/Pakistani" accent called and said that i will be arrested. Very abusive, profanity filled language. I should call officer Michael Black at 202 864 1200. My husband told me that this is a fraud call and do not pick up these calls.

Got the call.  Just ignore the call.  they are calling from India.

This morning at 10:21 I received a call " Terry Lyn Inc." ph. 847-741-1900 and left a voice mail saying that he is calling from cook county sherif's office and inform of 3 federal charges against me and gave Thomas O'Briens name and 646 558 6549 number to call within 1/2 hour to resolve the case . I reported this to  my police station as a formal complain. The police later called me to inform that the people are using Terry Lyn Inc.'s number to place such calls and to ignore such future calls. Scam!!Scared my family like anything!

Actually the call to my home phone in Sugar Land, TX came from 281-274-2000 (which happens to be the switchboard for Texas Instruments) and left me a message (Australian or European voice) for me to call 646-558-6549 and talk w/officer Thomas O'Bryan! I went on to threaten me w/arrest warrant if did not do this ASAP. By the way, I did call back 281-274-200 and the TI switchboard did respond and the lady answering the phone did not know how the SCAMMER used their number to call my number. This is the same SCAM that has been going on for last couple years - similar calls from impersonators (IRS office, County sherif's office, etc.)  and threatening your arrest if your did not pay up to $3500 in next hour. Too bad to hear that about 40% may have sent the monies to these idiots! Do not get scammed - ask questions to sheriff's or IRS office before sending a single penny.

I had the same call. This is only a phone scam and it is fake. Don't worry and don't pay attention to that.

Ok people.  Here is the scoop.  I got a call saying that I have a "Federal" warrant for my arrest.  A guy with "Indian/Pakistani" accent called and said that i will be arrested. Very abusive, profanity filled language.

The number (646)-558-6549, a land line in Manhattan works only during EST and is a number assigned by a legitimate company called "Peerless Networks" out of Chicago.  They only assign telephone numbers and are not responsible for this criminal behavior.  The other number (972) 678-9000 is also a fraudulent number, mostly asking you to call the 646 number.

Lastly, i called the the offices of FBI both in NY and Dallas.  The Dallas lady was very nice and said not to pick up the phone if these people call, as they keep calling back if you pick up.  The FBI also asked me to register a complaint with FTC : 877-382-4357

P.S : If you can cuss more than the people calling you from these numbers, go for it.

Do not reply those idiot calls. Those are bogus and should be arrested immediately.

MY caller ID showed local number 248 678 9000 claiming to call from local county police about Federal crime committed and must call within 30 minutes to avoid team arriving at your door. I realized from the message when I am not involved in anything, checked with sheriff and city police and reported this. They are sure this is a scam and do not call any numbers. Generally they may ask for personal info or you may be charged for your call time? Anyways you have to be just smart these days. Police would not register complain as I did not do anything, so simply unless you pay the price of being stupid, nothing will happen, if anything, these scammers are overseas any for US to do anything. We are in electronics world and can not even get technology to let people know of original caller id, phone charges etc.

Received a call from this number 646-558-6549, these guys are a bunch of fools who use VOIP calls to immigrant Indians, and take them for a ride if they fall for it.  Earlier these scams came from area code 202.  Now these fellows changed the code to 646.  IRS will never call you they will send a mail in USPS.  

Got a call claiming to be a federal agent named Rodger Dickson  to colorado location .  Man with accent  threatening legal trouble if you don't call back.

Smells like a fraud. Caller Id shows not in use.

I also got same phone call from 646 558 6549 climbed an officer jack gate wants to arrest me for federal crime ,really where is all agencies who get paid top dollars for crime like this running around free.

I got the same call 2 times, on 2-12-20014 and 2-18-2014, from someone with a heavy accent,  called officer Rick of Tarrant county. He wants me to call Federal officer Thomas O'Brien at 646 558 6549, regarding a complain about my identity, otherwise I will be arrested.
On the second time, he claims he is deputy Conner, and  he wants me to call officer Michael Black otherwise I will be arrested, in 30 minutes.

Got the same call today.  My caller ID also had a number ending with 9000.  The guy gave me the same story that I have a outstanding federal arrest warrant and need to call an officer Michael Black at 646-558-6549.  I asked him on what charges and he insisted I call the number to find out.  He tired to scare me by saying the police will be there to arrest me in 15 min.  I told him I will consult my lawyer and then decide what I need to do and hung up on him.  I then called the local non-emergency police and they confirmed that this must be a scam as No arresting authority would ever call you first to warn you about your pending warrant.

Just got the call from this number 6465586549 - guy's name was Kevin Patel (Badge #925)from the Federal Crimes Enforcement Division from the Department of Treasury (no such agency exists).  Told me to pay $3k or my wife was going to be arrested - same form IRS form 61 in 2010 story.  I called the police to report and they said its from out of the country and that they have a 40% success rate in getting folks to send money.  Be careful - a dirty scam.

I called them back and after messing with them and calling the all kind of name starting with motherf****, they start to curse me back. It was so funny. I told that if they are federal agency, then how come they are cursing back, i called them again from three diferent phone number and bugged them so much, i do not beleive they will call me any time soon, give them a fake name :)) damn this scam artist

My mother just received a call scaring her and threatening her with the police and the FBI and that she will be arrested within half an hour and that she should call officer Roger Gibson 646 558 6549

I got similar voice message from 464-558-6549. This person claimed federal officer and threatened me to be arrested. I already spent one hour to review my previous tax returns like a stupid. When I saw your message, I understood everything. Thank you so much for leaving this information in Google.

Got this scam call this afternnon from the same number.  "Jack Gate" (heavy Indian accent guy) informed me he has a warrant for my arrest.  I must pay $2800 for year 2010 IRS form 61 with a debit card or wire money immediately.  Then he wanted my cell number.  When I insisted on getting his number, he hung up.  How stupid is he, doesnt he realize we can get his number with *69.  I am of Indian origin myself, would recognize the accent anyday.  Go get a real job instead of fooling people.

Received a call from 646-558-6549 stating that a police warrant will be issued sinice I have not submitted Form 61 for 2010 onwards. The name is Michael Black. He sounded Indian.....Penalty of $ 3991 needs to be paid to resolve the issue.... such scammers are increasing.. please be warned

He claimed there was a federal warrant for my arrest. Received exact same call with same wording with a foreign European or Australian accent to a Denver location. Calling me to contact Thomas O'Brien at 646-558-6549.
