Calls numerous times every day. We don't answer the phone any more because there are so many of these type calls. Recorder clearly states that "due to the high volume of telemarketing calls we have to screen our calls, so if you want to talk to (my name) or (my wife's name), you'll have to leave your name and number and we will call you back". Been that way for six months. This number keeps calling but never leaves a message. Now, if you call someone you probably want to talk to them. If you can't reach them without leaving a message, wouldn't you think they would leave a message? They never do. They listen to the recording then hang up - five to ten times a day!

Liz - it is possible to "spoof" a number, make caller ID show one number when the call really came from another number. Its a trick usually used by scammers. Often the call really originates from outside the US.
Magic Jack phones don't show the number the call really came from. They show the number where the Magic Jack connects to the rest of the regular phone system. It can be from an ordinary citizen saving money by using Magic Jack. Or it can be from a scammer hiding his real location.

Manners Slim! A lot of the people that come here aren't as savvy as we are. They're why we're here.
Godspeed,
Gunnar

Well, since you gave us absolutely no information on what the guy said, we really cannot give you a valid explanation without a working ouija board.
Care to elucidate?

They've called me three times, but when I answered the guy at the other end didn't have that India accent..... And when I looked it up, it was said to be coming from New York. Someone please explain! <:/
