It's coming from a Call center.  I think the call center of Web Com.  I think they are running this scam.  All the calls are pre-recorded which are left on peoples answering machine.  I know because I worked in a call center here in the US for several years off and on, and they work in front of a computer that does not connect the caller to the receipent until after a minute or so.  The computer tells them when to talk.  So if you say hello don't expect someone to come on the phone right away you'll have to wait a bit

I got the same call and the first thing I did was "google" the number and it led me to this post. It was SCARY and it is the third time the person called. Thanks for this post.

This idiot keeps trying this every few months. What is disconcerting is when one calls the IRS and reports it, they who have all the resources in this great nation, ARE NOT INTERESTED in putting away an imposter of their high office...... ........BUT when the citizenry of this great nation is God forbid a day late or a dollar short the IRS will penalize those for all the fines & penalties they can assess or start a long  drawn process of appeals before they will reconcile.

Why not the IRS, make an example of the First idiot who tries these stupidly harassing stunts and use our taxes paid to good use for our benefit  ???

This is the second time I am getting a similar phone call. Threatning that there is a law suit against me by the irs and i am going to get arrested if call is not returned.
I realized the first time around that this is a scam. called again and my wife answered without realizing that this is a scam
and asked her husband to call back.

This is obviously a scam.  Bad accent.  Says he's David Cooper from the IRS and is calling about a lawsuit against me.  Says his call is time sensitive and I need to call.  If I don't return his call "situation falls on you."  Hope that no seniors fall victim to this crank call.  He must think we're all stupid.  A***ole.

Got a call from 646 570 1182 saying there is an IRS lawsuit against me. I called the IRS and they said it is not legit. Don't call them back.

DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL!!!!! He will have a heavy indian accent and leave threatening voicemails to call him back or face legal consequences.  His english is so awful that it is almost laughable.  DO NOT BE FOOLED
