I jsut got the same call he said he was fomr legal affidavit company and would not tell me anything else alos inian with a name of Dustin Wright. not his real name.

i just got a call from the same number and he was saying weird things to me like "i like your voice" and "have you ever had sex"? they called me 15 times in a row.

This number keeps calling me at work stating that I took out a payday loan when I never did... They call at least once a day. I have tried to report it and have spoke to my attorney and everyone says to ignore them, but they wont leave me alone at work!!!

This number called me stating I took loan out online under my name and social, he would not give me any information other than it was supposedly done in August of 2010. He began to tell me that he was suing me for $3000 for fraud since I did not pay it back and that he needed my attorney's information so he will know who is representing me in court. He told me his name is Adam Smith, however he had a strong Indian accent and the call was out of New York. He would not state the name of the company he was from just the company that I susposedly took the loan from which was a payday loan company that I have never applied for. This man needs to be stopped

i have been recieving these calls since nov 16,2010 at my job, and my cell i am constantly worring about losing my job the first ones called 347 478-5882, next one was some new york #250 now it was the 646-571-3546 they called and told my manager and hr director they were from the cybercrime unit and now they called me from a 305-999-1756 number yesterday, i have been having a lot of health problems since these people need to be stopped and soon!!!

well they called me too first with the number 646-571-3546 yesterday and that number is from manhattan new york and today they called me from 305-999-1756 and that one is from north dade FL and i said so you called me from ny yesterday and now your in fl man i want your job you get to travel alot ny one day and fl the next its all fake because he used the same name

Yes, I received a message from this phone number too. I already know you aren't suppose to contact anyone at their place of employment. After speaking to a Lady with a very foreign accent and she wanted to transfer me to her Manager, I abruptly hung up. I would not spend much time messing with this as life is short; therefore, just know it's a scam, and move on with your life. I'm mentioning this as trying to catch these guys are get involved in stopping them will just give you a real headache.

I have received a call from the same person.  He calls himself "Dexter William" with the same stuff.  "Legal affadavit for me" and wishes me luck because this "falls in your lap". He has called at work and home #'s No doubt scammed from an online loan app. in the past.

I just got a call from a Middle Eastern man with a heavy accent telling me that I have legal action against me for a payday loan.  The first time I received this call, I was terrified.  I reported my info to the all of the credit bureaus and social security, changed my banking information, called the payday loan company that I've delt with in the past and even call Homeland Security.  It wasn't until I was infomed by an nice gentleman with the payday loan company and homeland security that it was a scam and they've received numerous phone calls about the same thing.  Now when they call, I don't even waste my time entertaining them.  I just tell them now isn't a good time and hang up the phone.  I do however, monitor all of my banking information, credit cards and I even have my credit score being monitored by two different companies.  I'm not taking any chances, but I wish these people would just get a life.

so these people had the audacity to call my JOB claiming that i took out a loan in april 2010 for $300 and i didnt pay it back so now i'm being taken to court & being sued for $7,658.22. jackie anderson was his name from USA cash advance but he sound awefully like an indian. he had my name, dob and my address but not my zip....so i started asking him questions about it. he gave me a whack ssn# and i told him that's not my social and i didn't take out any loan. he said that there is nothing that he can do and he send my info over to the courts. he gave me my bank's routing number so my response was that is the same everywhere why don't you give me the account number you sent it to so that i can check. they couldn't give me any info. i asked him to give me the name of the lender then. again no info. i asked to speak with a manger or someone higher because i found it hard to believe that they dont have any info to provide me. he put me on hold for about 15 mins then hung up. so i kept calling them back again and again. when i finally got them he said i have another client on the line & u keep calling back i said because u haven't given me the info i want. he said he would call back..ttssskk moral is DONT GIVE THEM ANSWERS TO ANYTHING/DONT VERIFY ANY INFOMATION ask questions. they obviously don't have any info and its a scam or potential identity theft

These indian people are a true scam.  They change names and phone numbers as well.  Even called my work, which I am pretty sure it is illegal and they can't give out personal information as to why they are calling "like legal action".  I have no pay day loan but I did apply and decided against it.  That is how they get your information, I think.  I have called them and harrassed them back, so they disconnected that number and got a new one. They call every couple of months.  My income tax is going to help me sue their a__.

This IDIOT called my place of employment with my birthdate and one of the other employees at another one of our offices called to give me the message.  He told her it was regarding a legal matter and his name was "Robert Taylor" and gave her the number avbove.  She couldn't hardly understand him to the point she had him spell my last name, because he is foreign and had such a heavy accent!!  Robert Taylor is not a foreign name.  Let's see how he likes to hear from a real lawyer!!!!!

I checked my voicemail today for the first time in a week and I had a voicemail from an Idian guy telling me that I was used as reference to a "stated name" (first and last name of a real friend of mine that doesnt have a common name) and that she committed a fraud with US Cash Advance and that I shouldnt ignore this phone call as he can press legal action against both of us. I called back and he knew who I was without me even having to say a name or give a phone # so he must have caller id. He then began to tell me that I went online and took out a loan for $300 and that I never paid it back and that was considered fraud. I told him that it was not me and it must be some sort of fraud as my wallet was stolen earlier this year with my social security card and drivers license inside of it. I asked him when this loan was done all he could say was August of 2010. He stated he did not want any money that he needed my attorneys information that will represent me because he is suing me for $3000. I kept telling him I did not take out any sort of loan and that he needed to give me more information so I can begin some kind of fraud investigation. He said that I was the one that committed the crime and that it wasnt his job to help me out. I asked for the address that was used, he could not give that to me either. I then told him that I thought I was used a reference to "stated name" and that he wanted info on her and he wanted to know where I got that name from and who left the voicemail. I told him you are the only one calling me with a Indian accent and that I could not understand the name in the voicemail, he denied leaving that voicemail. He said that he no longer needed to speak to me to have my attorney call him back, and he hung up. I called him back, he answered the phone, "Ms. Ally I have nothing else to say to you and hung up again." I then went to my attorney's office and he called the number on speakerphone. The man then answered and wouldnt give out any information to why he wanted to speak to him until he got my attorney's bar number, my attorney asked what relivance that had to him calling me and he hung up on him. I then called the number back and asked him why he wanted my attorney to call if he wasnt going to give him any info. "adam" asked why my attorney was scared to give his bar # out was he some kind of a scam artist? I went off on him, telling him that he is the only scam artist in this situation. Little does this Idian moron know I do collections for a living and that any loan taken out and unpaid would be a default on a loan not fraud, I also know that he would have to have sent me something in the mail regarding any legal proceedings and a letter requesting payment should have been sent out. I told him that he had no right to threaten me and that if he didnt erase my number out of whatever database he pulled my friend and I names out of  then a investigation will be started and he will be the one to be in a legal matter. He hung up on me.

I know this was a scam but I am not sure what he would gain from this, and it scares me for him to know somehow me and the name he used as a friend of mine were somehow related.  I doubt I will hear from this man again and if he does he will be asking for it.

This is the same type of scam as the United Legal people, they threaten you with action, usually regarding some type of payday loan.  My last call was from Mark Williams, but with the heavy Indian accent, also a really bad connection.

The first time I heard this message, I got scared, but after finding a lot of information about them, not I listen to the message, laugh and delete it.  After a while they stop calling and leave me alone for a year or so.

This is a scam. The Better Business Bureau has released many alerts on this scam, google "bbb.org alert phony debt collector"  Variations of this scam exist so read all the alerts to get a flavor of what they are.

I have gotten calls from this number multiple times. The man is calling himself "Steven Thomson" - but how can this be if he has a distinct INDIAN accent. He says I have a legal case against me under my SS# and Name, but never gives me other info. He says it is "Damn Important" and "damn sensitive" - and if I do not call back I will have bad things happening to me (such as arrest and other actions).
If he is for real, then why can't they tell me what company it is?
Also, if you look at the FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS ACT (a law in the USA) you can see that a collector cannot threaten the person they are calling EVER.
I have been told by a couple collection agencies I have dealt with that I am not to respond to these calls.
They should be taken down - and put out of business because they are not who they say they are - AND they sure are not from New York! (lol)
