I know this is a scam, every payday they call

Keep getting calls, just called a min a go. Thank you for this site, had a feeling it was a scam.

Called them and I get amessage saying "Thank you for calling!  Goodbye!"  Obviously someone has nothing better to do!

They just keep calling-no message.

I got a call from this number, they left no voice message.  When I called it back there was a long pause then an automated voice saying, "thank you for calling, goodbye."  Scumbags just trying to get money.

its pretty ridiculous that they can just call from random numbers. The telephone has lost its place as a legitimate form of contact because of scammers like this.

I want this number to stop calling my phone, what should I do?

These guys are scumbags, bottom feeders, no soul and no conscience.  Don't even answer calls you don't recognize.  Go to yahoo or google and type in the number, then 800 notes and it'll tell you who they are most of the time. Buncha' crooks.  You have nothing to worry about, they can't sue you, won't sue you but will continue to harrass you so get their number blocked on your phone, both cell and home.  Or better yet, answer the call and hit em' with a blast from an air horn!

No Messae from the number keeps calling my house

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:
