Home warranty sale.  Don't use this company.  My air conditioner went out and they would not cover it, even though it is listed as an item they cover.  They stated it had not been maintained with proof every 6 months for regular maintenance.  If you recently purchased a home or had it for a while, get it in writing what is required for their coverage to really take place.  Get it in writing if you are responsible for prior owners not keeping it maintained, even though it works when you purchased the place and an inspector approved it.  They tell you its covered, take your money, but good luck collecting if its something they cannot fix with one maintenance call.

I continue to get daily calls from 712-792-7195. If they need me to talk to them, they can leave a message and if I'm interested in what they are selling I will call them back. Otherwise, they should not keep calling.

American Home Shield repeatedly calls me - to the point of harassment.  The seller of the house I purchased bought a policy w/ them.  They don't do what they say they will and then call repeatedly and hang up as soon as you answer.  They should be stopped!   There are multiple similar complaints about them on here.  Is anyone listening?

I kept getting calls and no messages too so that is why I googled the number.  My warranty is getting ready to expire but I have had pretty good service from them.  Had a Hot water heater problem and they came out and fixed it.  Had a Heat pump seemed to keep running on my AC/Heat unit and had service person out next day and replaced parts been working good since.

Being a single one owner person helps to have a home warranty for the big things but cost to renew is tough on a budget.

They keep calling me as well even though I said I was not the least interested in their service. I had a warranty that was bought for me by the seller's agent. Received no information and when had to have plumbing work done, I took care of it. This was within 30 days of moving in. They denied as I had not contacted them first. As I explained, I couldn't as I didn't know until after the fact that I had the coverage. Really annoying company if you ask me.

Had two problems in the last year. AHS sent out people and then did everything they could think of to deny the claims. The first one was a plumbing problem. They refused to pay because my house, built in 1969, was not up to current code! The second one was a problem with the baseboard heaters in my addition. They denied it because there was an open passage between the addition and the main house, therefor the baseboard heaters were not the main source of heat in a 700 st ft room!

SCUM!

Just missed a call from this number so I googled it. Now I see it was my home warranty company from reading the replies here. I am not renewing but I do have to say I had a good experience with them. I had an A/C issue where it would have cost me $1,0000 to have the part fixed, they covered it under warranty and took care of everything.

Knowing full well that my A/C will be going out soon and that my furnace is a pile of **** I have continued to renew with them for $300/yr. Each year they come out and fix something with my furnace and it only costs me $60.

Worth it in my book.

I have called American Home Shield and gone through the prompts to remove my number from call list.  I get a least 1 call weekly, day and night,

It is a horrible service--the service is lousy and they aren't honest with payment.  Yet, the calls to solicit their vendors and toe sale up and renew are relentless. It is the worst intrusion into my life.

These idiots kept calling my cell phone, often when I was travelling abroad so the diversion to voicemail was costing me a dollar a pop. I had AHS from when we purchased a house but chose not to renew and told them this on several occasions. I also told them to stop calling me and mailing me. I get at least 2 letters a week from them an a call almost ever other day. It still did not stop.

Then I had an idea. I logged into my expired AHS account through their website which still works and shows my service contract as expired. I updated the address to point to their own PO Box contact address and my email address to point to their own contact email. Now they mail everything to themselves. Beautiful! But even better I set my phone number to my 1900 number and now they keep calling that instead. True idiots. Now whenever they call me I make money and it looks like they are too stupid to even realize. :-)

I got AHS as part of a package when I bought a bank owned property.  They came out and replaced a toilet and water heater within the first 60 days.  The plumber did a good job even finding a toilet that matched the Harvest Gold bathroom.  I will sign up for another year.  I imagine a great deal of the quality of service has to do with the local service company and workman.  AHS seemed to follow through after the repairs to see that I was satisfied.

I just received a call from this number and Googled it to see if I could find out where it came from.  I too have American Home Shield which we acquired when we bought our home in 2008 and have since renewed because we had no idea they were a rip off until I read these reviews.  We haven't had to use them but it's good to know they're useless if we do need them.

I will definitely cancel them when it comes time to renew.  Does anyone have any suggestions on a good Home Warranty company???

I am also getting calls from this number, and others that appear to be AHS, at least once per day. If anything they have reassured me that discontinuing thier services was the right decision.

Didn't realize it was AHS. Received their renewal letter and will renew ... when I'm ready! Current contract is good until end of July. Never had any major issues with them. Last year my A/C went out TWICE and they (and the local vendor) were excellent about providing a prompt reply, prompt service, and follow-up. For me, it's been worth it. Nice to know that it was AHS calling. They didn't leave a message.

Had them for 17 years and never once had a problem.  Made sure I did NOT use the contractor they first recommended.  You can call in and ask for a different contractor based on reputation (A/C for instance.)  If you use them - don't let them dictate the contractor you use - they have a list of approved contractors when you call them.   Do agree their pestering to renew is very annoying and they should not be allowed to telemarket this way!  File a report with the FCC - this is the only way to get annoying telemarketers (like AT&T) to stop calling.  The no call list is worthless.

This is AHS home warranty company. They're trying to get a renewal out of me. I'm tempted, because unlike the other posters, i got a $3000 pool heater replaced for the low low price of a $60 deductible. The funny thing is, that pool heater hadn't worked in years, and they replaced it anyway.

Would you mind sharing the class action information. I've had mixed results with AHS in terms of denial/approval of claims, but certainly see shades of fraud that I would like to report.

Thx!
