They called me today to say that I had an outstanding Cash Advance Loan. No date for loan or knowledge of where money was borrowed. The man said he was Nick Johnson from the law firm of Bryan Cave in New York. He said that my employer would be contacted tomorrow and that I would be served a Court Summons if payment was not made.

I got a call from some guy claiming to be an attorney. After I told him he was a joke and that they should realize that in America there are certain things a person has to do before they. An sue someone and that a payday loan can not have me arrested and the charges they were claiming I was guilty of would have to be investigated in this country. He got upset that's when I told him to get his worthless scam straight and hung up

This person with an Indian accent called me at work and left messages on my home phone, claiming his name is Jacob
Morris, I doubt it.  Don't have any payday loans, so I will just ignore him and let him go away.

was contacted on 4-3-14 by jason morris claiming to be from cash advance america saying i had a lawsuit for a loan i never took out said authorities will be at my house to arrest me  and serve me papers and only had one loan in my life and is pAID OFF HE WOULD NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION JUST THREATS

My mum and I received a call from a Frank Foster, claiming on the message that if she has a lawyer to discuss the loan situation. We have no loans, and they have been trying periodically to scam her. These are annoying calls that the government or City officials need to also concentrate on.

These guys are so annoying, so I found a way to stop them from calling (at least for a few months it seems).

Whenever I get a call from them, I answer and immediately go into my best "Raj" imitation from The Big Bang Theory. I tell them in my "Raj" voice, "Hello..is this Haji? (pronounced Ha-Gee) Haji! I need money Haji! Money to feed the Cows Haji! I am soo sorry, but the cows must be fed! If we dont feed the cows Haji, then they will starve and we will be reborn as slug HajI! Please Haji! I beg you Haji! Do not forget about the cows! Maybe Haji, we can do a scam and trick people into paying us money. We will tell them that they have bills they must pay their fake loans or they will be fake arrested and fake sued!
Yes Haji, this scam will work - I know it! Please Haji, will you help me to fool the stupid Americans! Do it for the Cows Haji!"

lol..and yes, that is really what I say to them. I have it written down so I wont forget! Most often than not I dont get all the way thru before they hang up. Then I proceed to call them back for the next 20-30 min starting my rant over each time. Eventually  they will take the phone off the hook. I figure thats a small victory for the rest of us, as its one less scammer making more annoying calls ;)

He just did the same thing to me and I saved the messages also. He even called my office phone, how he got the number I will never know. Thanks for the information!

Just got a call from this scamers saying I owe money for a payday loan, which I never had. When I hung up on him he called my work phone. How do these people get our numbers? When I told him I never had a payday loan he told me the police would be on my job. WHAT A JOKE. I called him back after I looked up the number on the internet. He told me I was going to jail because I stole money. I told him he better not call my phone again and he told me to go to hell.......lmao!

I just received a call from this # 646-583-1547 -  from a man by the name of Frank Foster he left a message and said that I owed money on an unpaid Pay Day Loan - that i needed to pay this off, or I would be arrested either at my home or my place of employment. I reported this to my State Attorneys Office and the FBI  -  it is a Scam - DO NOT pay these people any money !!!!!

I just got a call from this number today.  Indian sounding accent.  Same MO...payday loan from Advance America...a loan which doesnt' exist.  He used the name "Bryan Keys" as the person suing me.  The suit has been going on for a year and a half according to him.   Since I haven't responded the court is about to hold me in contempt.   I said get the social sec # of the person being sued and call me back.  He hasn't so far....and I don't expect him to.  He sounded "shocked" that I was denying it was me....that the address and email address he had for me was wrong!  Unbelievable.....I agree with everyone ....he needs to get a real job.

I have received several calls from 646-583-1547, last one came yesterday at work.  When I asked for documentation I was told charges would be filed against me when asked several times for "proof" I was transfered and got some other non english speaking a-hole stating he was Kevin Williams and lawyer with the law firm of Bryan Cave in New York City.  Googled the firm ( while on the phone) told him he was full of s##! and hung up that is an actual law firm and I called and spoke with the director of administration, they are aware of this scam and working with the AG's office of New York.  Scammers called back and left extermely rude messages on my work phone and mobile, which I have saved.  Hope this helps others out!!!

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone

states name of Indian/P*** accent as Nick Johnson and represents some Brian Keith or Heath law firm
says I have a court case against me tomorrow and wants my lawyer.  trouble is I never confirmed nor denied who he was looking for.  I did call the FBI, etc.

I keep getting calls from this number. I do not answer because I know scam; they leave threatening messages and I do not know how to get them from calling me.... It is very annoying and they use other numbers too. Same threats as above that everyone else is getting.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

called from this number stating I had some legal actions . I got all information from him, and told him I will be reporting him and not to call my job again. Gave actual law firm in New York complete with address, but of course the number was different and there is no one by his name working there.

First off if you have charges against you behind owing money the last thing thats going to happen is a courtesy call from law enforcement from another state giving you a heads up....smh....so damn ridiculous. ....and against the law for collectors ro threaten such

Frank Foster was his name....trying to sound intimidating ,,,it did'nt work....I have no idea how they got my work number.  He said he was calling from a law firm.

I have 0 zero payday loans, I did inquire about them.  I was called yesterday and told I had 3 charges against me and I would be arrested on Monday.  He asked me if I had an attorney and I said no, but I will be reporting this to the FBI.  He hasn't called me back since.  My assumption is they are using intimidation to sway people to send money.  The government does not ask people to go to Walgreens or CVS Pharmacy to purchase a Vanilla Sky Visa card and put money on it.  PERIOD. Neither does a legitimate loan company, THUS the reason I trusted my own instincts and NEVER respond or reply to "FREE MONEY" for nothing such as being a beneficiary in UK etc. etc.  NOBODY gets anything for free and there is always a underlying payment to be made to get your money.

I do owe advance America $400, so when I got this call I got so scared, because im in nursing school and if I get any charges against me I can kiss my career goodbye.
they wanted me to pay $2000, then he got it down to $900, my mom ended up buying a prepaid card for $300 and paying him,
I called cashnet because advance America was closed and she said you cannot go to jail for something like this, and that was fraud.

I received a call from these people on my work line, which has not been given to anyone, with the exception of my immediate family for emergencies. He stated that if I didn't call him back, that he wished me well, and that I would be prosecuted. Ummm, prosecuted for what? I have no clue what they are calling me for. I have had someone call me like this before, and they had all of my information, and me being somebody who has worked in law enforcement before, knew that it was a huge scam. I have had to file a police report before, because they had information about me, that I've never released to anyone. These people have ways of getting information....

Sorry to sound this way but if the caller has a strong Indian style accent with a name like John Collins or Kevin Wiliams, it is a scam and not real. Don't pay and don't confirm any information. This fool on the phone tried to say that the Atty I had needed to be a criminal atty. These are rude nasty bottom feeders who need to be stopped, but as they are calling from some 3rd world country we can't get to them. These thieves tried to argue with me that I needed a criminal Atty to deal with this issue. They are deliberatly misstating the facts. YOU CAN'T BE THROWN IN JAIL for owing money the way that they portray it. Don't pay them a cent.

Called my place of employment left a message on our voice mail saying that I am going to go to jail if I don't return his call before the end of the day? Very rude on the voice mail,  Harassing phone call the person had a strong accent.
