Yes, a definite scam, just tried to buy an x box 360 and games for me to ship, said from military and was offended I said no to sending to Nigeria!!!!!!

Posted on craigslist to sell a phone, brand new.

Immediately got a reply from 646-719-0636 to pay me via PayPal, WU or MoneyGram.

I agreed, and began to ask some probing questions. I received a bogus email allegedly from Western Union with an outlook address, LMBO.

When I confronted the individual, they stated that they have already paid their money. I stated for them to send me further proof. the number comes from the Bronx, New York.

Total SCAM!!!!!! BEWARE. Said their name was Fawell........ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

exactly the same here!! exact numbers and all! no friendly reply with small talk , that's your first sign!!! im trying to sell things to pay for doctors bills and these jerks left and wright are all usuing similar techniques to scam some one that already has nothing wtf!! i just spent 20 phone card on 14 scam textrs trying to claim they wanted to buy my phone! this is why you sell ebay these days!! craigslist is a waist of time now. i miss what it used to be!

Yes......we just got three texts from this number in the middle of the night.....same stories from above.

Yeah "Fawell Wilton" is who they are claiming to be, just sent me an email saying he/she was in the marines and wanted to USPS my item from craigslist to a friend but cant get it personally because he/she is overseas but asked if i have pay pal. You can always tell when its not right when the sentences are jumbled and missing words. they wouldnt respond to me when i asked them questions but were quick to reply when i told them i could probably set up a pay pal account.. dumb a**. Hate fraud

Yea I got a text from Amanda Whalen also claiming she is from Centerville, Tn. but is in London right now and will send the money to my paypal account as soon as I give to to her, him or it. They do not know where Centerville, Tn is especially from New Yark. Mine ad also was on Craig list. Not first time to deal with these dumbass people.

It is an "Amanda Whalen" she claims to want to buy stuff from you that you had posted up on Craigslist. She will say that she is out of your area for a few months, and want you to ship her the item. She will send you a BOGUS email from PayPal stating that she transferred the the money and demands that before you get the money you must provide her with a tracking number. DO NOT MAIL anything. The emails are completely bogus, I called PayPal and confirmed the emails are bogus. The shipping information in the email will say: "Shipping address - confirmed

Country:........Nigeria

PayPal does not deal in Nigeria. Do not open any attachments in the email as it will take you to a fake PayPal website, and steal your login information. Again. Do not open any link, in the email. Do not mail her anything. It is a scam.

I had a phone for sale on craigslist  he offerered
Me the 100 i wanted and 95 for shipping also and ask for my pay pal email address to pay me.I hadn't googled this number yet.
Just as in prior posts he said he was in the USMC and that I would be shipping it to a friend my pay pal account is linked to a disposable pre paid card but my pay check is direct deposited onto the card.
What's the chance he is going to hack my account and get my check on Friday?

I had a Xbox 360 for sale on craigslist, and he offered me $50 extra and payed shipping costs. He said he was part of the USMC(United States Marine Corps) and that he is out of state, and told me to ship it to his friend. This is a huge scam!!
