Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is buy a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

Called at 4:30 am - scared us to death. Sad that someone is having fun at our expense!! We are on Do not call list but apparently it's ok for automated systems to "overlook" that. Ho do we get them to STOP?

Received call from this number, didn't answer, voice mail recording was empty/no sound. Had to enter voice mail box to delete. Very irritating. Second call of the day from this number. Second call showed 747 Third Avenue.

Received a call from this number and no one was there just some creepy music/sound on the other end. I called it back and "number not in service". How can we stop these people from harassing us?

Have been called 3 times today, no one on other line, says # no longer in service when I call above #

This number called my house twice. The second time was a 11:45 PM! No one was on the phone either time and no recording.
