After reading these messages I decided to try a different tactic. They just called a few minutes ago, and asked for some one and I said, "Yes, speaking", the girl on the other line was so confused and just hung up. I don't know what their scam is, but they're doing it wrong.

Could not hear him, conversation was delayed, it also sounded like he was in a factory or really noisy in the backround and looking for someone in IT.

Here, here!!!  Am looking forward to someone finding the answer, because we just received another call like the ones I posted here from yet another number.  Maybe that's the only solution: Someday the phone company will run out of numbers.

They have called me 6 times in the last 2 days and when I finally answered they only asked to confirm my name, which scares me because that means they've made a connection. I want to make it my mission in life to find a way to block stuff like this easily. The phone companies aren't willing to do anything and appear to be protecting the caller (them) vs the callee (me) with a "it's not our job". Well who's job is it because there are no tools or ways (effectively) for me to stop this, and the DNC lists have so many loopholes its a joke. How do we the consumer really fight back?

this number has been calling over and over again  for the last -checking phone-19 minutes. it just goes to a dead line we don't answer but even so, I wouldn't do business with a company that practices such tactics.

Seems every week, these same people call from a different number (now this one), asking for employees who don't exist.  As if yesterday weren't bad enough, this morning they've already called six times in ten minutes!  Add their accents to the connection that skips and breaks continuously, and I must ask that they repeat themselves three times.  Am fed up with these call centers and the fact there are too many numbers to block.  They've all been ganging up these past two months, and I've complained on this site about all of them, e.g.: 661-748-0240/SKYPE USER, 719-219-7349/COLORADO CALLER, and 856-204-0652 or 872-213-9965 (when dialed, hear a recording for Magic Jack).  However, I actually got somewhere with 310-734-2008; they tell you to press 9 if you want to be placed on their Do Not Call list.  Then there are the folks allegedly from Sunday Sky, who have more numbers than a slot machine.  They call on behalf of their bosses (mostly Diana Novick) and request a specific manager but don't know the reason.  Since they cannot be connected without that information, they say that they'll obtain it and call back but never do.  ENOUGH!!!

This guy calls and it literally sounds like he's in the midst of hurricane or something.  It's a bunch of loud background noise and there's a HUGE delay between your response and his.  He calls and asks for people who no longer work here then hang up and keep calling back looking for a different person.

Standard IT telemarketer except you cannot hear them.  Sounds like they are calling from a metro train by using Skype.

Calls the company number asking for different people. Says they he needs to connect you to another caller for a phone conference. There is background noise like the caller is in a boiler room operation. I got phone calls to stop by letting them know they have contacted the local police department. In addition, I asked for their company info, of which he didn't. Then I kindly let him know that the phone number would be traced if called again.
