I am going through this very situation with this person. I put up an item on eBay and they texted me. Paid for the item with Paypal and everything. He sent me a code which I sent back like an idiot and then started offering me more money to send to item out to Nigeria to his son who was in vacation there. After that I started investigating and came to realize that it was a big scam. I never sent him the item thank God. Im so pissed, I think I went that far with that scamer because I really needed to sell that item. Now I'm getting phone call for an apartment listing. How can I stop that?? Please help!!! What else do they do with your number?

Was trying to sell something on Craigslist and kept asking for a code (just like these other posts.) Except I'm the dumbass that actually sent him the code back. The next day I get ~30 calls from around the country asking about an apartment rental. DONT GIVE HIM THE CODE!!

Responded to my craigslist ad.  Said that he was going to send a code to prove that I was real from postlets.  Do not send them back the code.  He uses this code to use your number to post Fraudulent ads such as rental ad online on zillow, hotpads, craigslists etc.  Recieved many calls at 4am about a rental that I did not put out.  SCAM DO NOT REPLY BACK WITH A CODE

I got the same message- I am in Idaho. They text you back and forth to and it seems legit. I told them know as soon as they wanted to have me send a "CODE". SCAM!

they txt me and wanted to purchase and item they said with cash. on top of that they said they will send a code that i need to reply with to know that i am real?! and then a location to meet. thinking is this a joke. then i look up and see they are in NY. i saw other ppl with same issue and quit responding. beware of this number!!
