This is not IBM, called the # back and was told by a girl that someone has been user her # as their caller id.  Don't give out any information to this number.

got a call from this number and couldn't understand the request the first time, when i asked her to repeat it she said something about our location being in a town that we used to be located in, like 6 years ago. I told her no, we weren't located there and she hung up.

Just received this call.  Man with heavy Indian accent asked me if I was still employed in the IT department.  I responded that I am the person he was asking about.  He said thank you and hung up.  Worried this is a "slam", looking for an affirmative statement and using that as an excuse to sell to people.  That or it's a telemarketer confirming its database.  Doubt it's really IBM.

I just recieved a call, accent similar to what others have reported wanting to confirm my name and address, except indicated that he was from NCR. I suspect I will be receiving scam calls in the future. When I asked what this was related to - the caller hung up.

Same thing.  IBM is a client of mine, so I didn't want to blow them off.  They were trying to connect my company name and phone number and address to "update the IBM database."  I asked if he were in marketing or procurement, and he couldn't answer.  I told him he hadn't explained his business purpose and hung up.

same thing ... called today asking for verification - knew name and title only

Got several calls over the last couple of weeks from 1-646-867-0146 and 1-646-867-0147 when i answered the phone there was either no answer or they hung up. I am very pissed off now because they called my dad and my mother-in-law this morning claiming to be a private investigator and they were calling because i was in trouble and they needed to call back in fourty-eight hours.

i just received a call from 646-885-0146.  identified as ibm global services, caller id was multipkg, however.  caller had indian accent.  asked for info verication.  told him i couldn't speak to that and to call p.r.  caller ended conversation and hung up.

Same thing...claimed to be from IBM, and updating records: voice was distinctly Indian and very difficult to understand. I know for a fact that IBM already has my current info so I asked him to give me the email address they had on file and he couldn't provide it.

I hung up.

I got a call from an Indian man asking to clarify XYZ University's address, although it was my home address and I am a student at XYZ University. A little spooked that they know my name, address and University.  When I told him it was not, he apologized and hung up.

These people called my direct number at work and asked for information about coworkers' titles and the like.

Received this call while ago but I didn't answer it.

This is actually IBM, doing business follow-up

I just received call from 646-885-0146.  Person was difficult to understand. I think I heard IBM Global Services. verified company address and CEO.

received phine cal form HEAVY accent form INDIA gentleman.  requesting verification of company addres.  I gave him corrected address.  the asked if we had xxx person working there.  I said yes and he asked what xx's title was.  I told him and he thanked me and hung up.

Just got a call from 301-392-8200.  The man had such a heavy Indian accent I could not understand where he said he was calling from.  He wanted to verify our company mailing address.  He had an old PO Box, so I gave him the correct one.  He then asked for someone by name, that I could not understand at all, so I hung up on him.  About a minute later, my phone rings again.  Same Indian man, but this time the caller ID reads 646-885-0146.  I don't know whats up with this, but seems fishy to me.

Rceived call from this company representing "IBM Global Services" and they wanted to know if I was the technology administrator.  When I asked what they were calling in reference to about technology no answer was received specifically to my question.  This call was transferred from a prior line.

The call just came in. They asked me if I was still in my position at my company. When I asked what they wanted, I was disconnected.

The called twice in succession. I make a point when I receive unknown numbers to say "Hello" then remain quite for a few seconds. If nothing is said, I say nothing, repeat "Hello", wait another few seconds then hang-up if still quiet. I certainly don't answer unknown numbers with my name or anything else.

Received call from +16468850146, they verified my name and working information then it get disconnected, I am trying the same number there is no responses.

Keep getting blank calls from this no.. someone's up to mischief!!

Same thing happened to me. Verified work information, asked me my position. Really bizarre.

Got a similar call about 5 minutes ago. Spooked me. Only verified name and title. I am not on the market, have not applied for any position in almost two years.

If this is IBM then I am not happy and would let them know.

Caller identified themselves as "IBM Global Services" from India and had my address and company name, but not my specifics. They said they were calling to verify my information and update their database. Unlike most scammers, they did not hang up on me when I asked to speak to a manager, so I'm inclined to believe that this is a real operation. I am worried that it is being compiled for head hunters.
