Recieved a call from Brian Smith.  When I called back, the mailbox was conveniently full. Another payday loan scam.

Julie tell your friend not to worry it is a scam.  The really bad part...these calls will go on for years unless you change your number.  They will stop for a while and then start up again.

THIS IS A SCAM.  They get your information from a payday loan that was taken out...they claim Cash Advance but when my calls first started over a years ago (Yep - these calls have been coming for a year now) I checked with Cash Advance because I did take a loan out with them...over 15 years ago.  And thougth maybe I didn't pay them but sure as all heck, I did in fact pay them and I owed nothing.  I had about the time the calls started did take out a payday loan with another company, online, and that is how they got my information.  Chris, Nathan, John and I think his name is now Kevin(heavy Indian accent)...with "The city state of New York's attorney's office" and how if I don't pay them the amount owed (which is different every time) then by Monday I will have my court papers in the mail and will have to face the judge.  Yeah well I'm still waiting...LOL  

I usually ignore the calls but every once in a while I like to mess with them.  The other day I ignored the call and 1 minute later they called again (alwasy froma  5 digit number) and when I answered I blew a whistle in their ear.  Another time I told him to find something else to get his p***s hard on because I'm not playing with him anymore.  

The problem is that I did a lot of research on them when this started a year ago.  They work through the phone lines where we will never be able to find them.  We can report them to the BBB and police all we want but the truth is that their number claims they are located in let's say NY but if you are luck enough to get a company name out of them...there isn't a company by that name located in NY.  The way the scam works is they prey on the not so intellegent who their scare tatics work and they collect money.

The only thing we can do it educate people of this scam and hopefully one day shut their little corrupt business down.

It was probably Sonic Cash Advance.  This is the company that keeps claiming I had a payday laon.

I had a Chris Brown call me and leave a message...the first one I could not understand a word he said.  The next message said my friend took out a loan and put me as the co-borrower and is taking a case out on me and to call him @ 646-915-0759.  I called back and of course these guys do not speak english that good.  Really hard to understand them.  So I asked to speak to Chris Brown and the guy Allen that answered the phone said he was busy but would let me speak to his supervisor or manager.  So this guy Thomas Dylan (yeah right...anyone with an English name would be able to speak ENGLISH) gets on the phone saying he doesn't know what's going on and would have to get with Chris Brown and call me back.  I was not a happy camper.  So Chris Brown calls me back (Another one that can't speak good ENGLISH) tells me that my friend has an unpaid payday loan and that she put me down as a co-borrower....that was it...my top blew off and I got irate and told him I didn't sign anything and I was not a co-borrower...if anything I was a reference and he said I'm sorry I will try to resolve this.  We will see if he calls back or not.  I think it's a scam and my poor friend is worried to death about it!  She has never taken out a payday loan.

Calling me in Austin, TX. Had partial personal info. Threatening to call attorneys and sue. Thick indian accent. Went by the name Alvin. Refused to send documentation proving I owed them something. Said company name was Cash Advance. Scam if you ask me!

I have been getting these phone calls all different numbers for the last year now. It is so annoying. I just refuse to answer my phone and return their calls. They won't call for awhile then just when I think they forgot about me they start calling me back. I have taken a online payday loan out before but I have paid it back. I have also went to the police department and they have talked to these ppl. They get crappy with them and tell them to tell me to get my lawyer. I have also called The BBB and the company that I "supposedly" have had this loan with. They told me that I they have no record of me in their system and they ahve been getting calls like this about the situation there is nothing they can do. I have checked my credit and nothing has shown up on my credit score with this company. Please Please Please DO NOT fall into their trap. Tell them not to call you anymore and take you to court or ignore them. I almost paid them $350 dollars because I thought I may have missed something. THIS IS A SCAM and these ppl need to be dealt with.

this man called sayin i had a payday loan and he was from the attorneys office and would resolve it for a 100.00 but i only had 77 thank god he called a place in town sayin the guy i new there co signed it was an auto part store he gave my mothers number and she gave mine he has all my info and how he got a hold of it scares me but do not fall for this scam here i will place info he emailed me Loan applied for $300 total amount added up with interest is $500
Settlement Amount: $100 , total amount paid is $320.

i looked up liberty and there are tons but this is a hand writn email and collections have a signature and also give scare tactics and not goin to resolve fo 100 SCAM SCAM SCAM

I received a call from a Cris Brown, if a very thick Indian accent. He said i owe money, he's been leaving several messages on my cell phone. This is not the first time someone like this harasses me for money. Please dont fall into this, the bad part is they had my SSN and most of my info. PLEASE REPORT THEM, MAKE A POLICE REPORT, CALL THE BBB, CREDIT BUREAU.

Received call from Nathan saying that me or my attorney needs to contact him regarding a time sensitive matter. Called back ( skeptical that the number isnt a 1800 number) and the guy Nathan tells me hes calling in regards to a payday loan that someone i knew took out and i was listed on the payday loan as a co signer. when i asked more in depth questions, he told me he couldnt give me the info because it is legal documents. if i am being held responsible for an online payday loan that i supposedly co signed for, then how come i cant be entiltled to more information? he claims that if i dont get the matter resolved then it will go on my credit and i will be asked to appear in court on behalf of that matter. YA FREAKIN RIGHT.

Patrick James calls to say I owe a payday loan and that my social security benefits can be taken and my drivers license for 6 months and can garnish my wages.  Asked if he can send me info in the mail and he kept refusing.  If  I really owe this, prove it.
