I got a message from this number for EXTRAS jobs in TV. Per the FCC, it recommends to forward messages like this to 7726 (SPAM) This will alert your provider to handle this number as a spammer. Hope this helps.

thanks for the heads up. i also got this text msg saying casting call, paying $300 etc. i replied "stop" and will be contacting my provider re: block

I go the same message on my phone. My wireless provider said to reply STOP. It is a subscription and last month it cost over $9 because we hadn't replied stop soon enough. Our wireless provider kindly took care of it. We activated through our provider a free purchase blocker that only allows purchases with a pin.

I got the same message this morning (7/17/12) about casting extras. I believe I have received it before as well. I always look up strange numbers like this, so thank you to everyone for their warning posts. I'll be sure to text STOP immediately.

Portland, OR. Never acted in my life, but got this spam text this morning about "Casting Extras" (7/14/2012) Not sure how or why they got my number, but it's completely unsolicited and thus automatically sketchy and untrustworthy.

I recieved the message on my cell today, sat july 7 2012. Obviously their making the rounds again. The worst part is there really is some extra work in the industry and this kind of thing is costing people for the text subcription and the legit work thanks everyone for the real 411.

Got a text message from number 631-464-7905 (a New York area code) when I live in Florida. It said "Now Casting Extras! $300/day be on local TV. Register Now at 800-605-7846. Reply Stop to Stop."
I called it and a automated message said it was a company called 'Casting Services'. I hung up before I was transferred to a representative.
