Got a call from 310-492-9169 saying the same thing, Don't disregard this message and wishes me good luck as things unfold around me.  Said his name was Sam Rogers.  Obviously if there is any problem with you legally, the person leaving the message would tell you what it was about, not leave some cryptic threat.

got a call from this person stating they were an attorney and I need to to return their call or actions would be taken. Said felt sorry for me if I did not return the call. that he was just trying to do me a favor.  the phone number listed for the call was 666-498-2493

These people have called numerous times.. They sound Middle Eastern, but claim their names are Michael Smith or Jeff Marsh or Scott... Please, give me a break.. This company would not disclose who they were or what they were calling about... Claimed that a case would be find online against me at 3:30 pm PST. Ok dude... Well, I am federally protected by the Eastern Division Federal Bankruptcy Court, So Bring It!

BTW- I called the FTC and the FCC and reported them.

Actually the second time this has happened from these guys. Last time was 5 months ago. Both times they call me up at work (im in the military!) and tell my subordinates that I am going to be arrested the next day. Scary crap until you call them back and yell at them...the man tends to freak out and stumble over his words, especcialy when you tell him you're a law enforcement official! Hahaha

A Tom Riddere called me sounding like he was from another country and said he is from Williams Law firm and i will be arrected as of tomorrow 12/08. I asked him if he was really from a law firm then why did he call my phone private... I asked him for a call back number and he gave me 1-646-942-5380. He read me an avidated and gave some type of "case number" after i asked for it... told me i owe the company almost $1100.00. When I tried to call the number back i got a busy singal. Said he was going to contact my employer and tell them i am writing bad checks and i will be going to jail.... he told me good luck to me because i will be put in jail and i told him speak better english...

He said it was very urgent and that I needed to do this for my kids! How the hell do they know I have kids? Also how did they get my cell number. This is creepy! He didnt speak good english eaither. They need to catch these people and make them pay if this is some sort of scam!I dont know what came up on caller ID but this was the number he said to call back on!

I got a call on my cell phone.  They left a treatening message saying that if I did not call back, I would be really sorry.  I called back and they seemed to have a lot of information about me.  Unfortunately I probably gave them some too.  They said that they would be arresting me today and asked me where I would be before 11 am.  I told them that I didn't know.

At the suggestion of a friend who is an attorney, I called the warrant division of my local police department.  They said that there was nothing in my name.  They suggested that I file a complaint.  Once I did, I called (646)942-5380.  When someone finally answered, I asked for the case number and jurisdiction.  What a surprise (not)!  They hung up the phone.  The same thing happened a second time.  I guess that they don't want to talk to me now that an attorney and the police are involved.

This ame thing happened to me. I reported them to the FBI, the FTC, homeland Security and the NY attorney General. I was told by Homeland Security that they are probably operating outside the US. The best we can do is keep positng the names and numbers they use because they chage them often. They will threaten to call your owrk and family. They have stolen your informaiotn form somewhere.  The last time I applied for a loan was ye4ars ago for a new car, and that is the infooramtion they have gotten a hold of.  Rpeort them and don't pay them.

What type of service did you add? I called the phone company and they said that because the number comes up "unknown" They can't do anything.

I received a call with Unknown Name and Caller and it was the same story, except that i went along with it...its crazy bcz he had ALL of my info. he gave me a fake name ''Ron Adams'' and he said that he was calling from Washington DC and that i owed $550 to Cashnet.com and that they had filed a lawsuit and that the next day, the local sheriff would come get me at 11am for a court hearing. So i told the guy that it was fine that I'd b waiting, just so he wouldn't call back, so i hung up and he called back anyway. and today he called again saying that he was from a different law firm and i kid around with him and even recorded the whole conversation...but that made it worse because he kept calling and then he would ask if i was a student or if i was working....finally after i made LOTS of fun of him, he said that all he wanted was a friend and he went toooo far...  so i called my phone company and added a service to stop those calls...

same thing here - have received several of these calls - you can tell it's a scam because you can hear the other people in the background saying the same thing... they can barely speak English and this one guy told me his name was James Brown!!  are you kidding me?  they tell you a case has been filed against you and when you ask who filed the case, they say that it was USA Cash Services.  Of course if you have ever applied for a payday loan, you'll be shocked and want to comply since there is a very slight possibility of a mix up that you didn't pay them back for whatever reason - DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!  He called from 646.274.0619 and said his "lawfirm" was in Washington State (646 is a NY area code) - then he told me that I can have my lawyer call him directly - I told him I'd represent myself and that I knew my rights.  He asked me to verify my ss# and then gave me the last four digits, I told him I wasn't verifying crap and that if he truly worked for a lawfirm ("Williams Law Firm", as he claimed), that he'll be able to tell me who is filing a claim against me and why without my needing to verify my ss#.  He told me that I will be served tomorrow by 11am and wanted to know if I'd be home or at work - I told him to screw off.  These people are scumbags - don't fall for it.  I've actually been getting these weird calls for the last year or so, this is just the first time I've actually called the guy back to find out what is going on.  I told him that I no longer want to receive calls from him, so if I get another one, I will report it to the BBB - problem is, they are undoubtedly offshore so not sure what that can do.  Called me earlier from a 405 number and when I dialed that exact number back, some poor older confused gentleman answered not knowing what to tell me.

I kept getting these call, and they even threaten to come to my house.I got one today and called my attorney, and also reported him to the police department. Today they said "If I didn't call him back, he couldn't be responsible for what series of events would happen to me.

Someone by the name of Tom Riddle call my workplace and left his cell phone number stating that I need to call him back right away. And if I didn't call him back that he wished me good luck and that he would see me in court. Left a messeage on my cell phone stating that I should contact a attorney and then give the name of the attorney. Again that name was Tom Riddle cell phone number is (646)942-5382.  Doesn't speak very good English at all

I had the same person call me he went by the name "Tom Riddle" at the Williams Law firm. They called me at work and the caller Id showed as Mississippi, I did talk with him and he said they were located in Washington D.C., 3 calls 3 different numbers and 3 different zip codes. oK EVERYONE TO HELP YOU OUT IT IS A SCAM...IF YOU EVER PUT YOUR NUMBER ON A WEB SITE THEY WILL CALL AND SAY YOU OWE MONEY.  THEN THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN PAY BY CREDIT CARD SO THEY WON'T TAKE YOU TO COURT. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT THE COURT DATE IS 2 DAYS FROM THE TIME THEY CALLED.  HOW I FIGURED OUT IT WAS A SCAM IS THAT THEY CALLED ON THE 2ND AND SAID IF I DID NOT PAY I HAD TO GO TO COURT ON THE 4TH, AND LEGAL ACTIONS WERE ALREADY BROUGHT UP. THEN THEY CALLED AGAIN ON THE 8TH AND SAID THE SAME THING.  DON'T GIVE IN AND GIVE THEM ANYMORE, JUST TELL THEM THAT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT IT IS A SCAM AND THAT YOU ARE GOING TO THE BBB AND LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THERE SO CALLED COMPANY..BE VERY CAREFUL SCAMMERS ARE PREYING RIGHT NOW REALLY BAD DUE TO THE HOLIDAYS...

This keeps happening to me also. The sad thing is if you ever , ever, did a payday loan, chances are they bought the info from them. These guys had my address and social security number! Tehy ask for your attorneys name and the reason is because they want the names and phone numbers of legitimate law offices so they can use there names in the next call they make. Some people will fall for it. It is a scam for sure...I have had 5 or six of these calls in the last 7 months!

i got a call from this number as well...they said, i owed USA cash services a pay day loan...and i called that company and i asked them if i did a pay day loan and they said,"no"...these people that are calling me sounded indian as well...they said, a sheriff will come to my house and delivery the documents and go to the court for me to hire an attorney...i kept calling this # and they're names keeps changing...so becareful!!

It sounds like middle eastern or indian guys. they try to scam people out of money. Dont offer any information.
