These people claimed to be with H&R Block and HSBC bank (we just got our taxes done with them) trying to get us to buy credit cards... calling back resulted in a fake answering machine sounding like an automated system, but then beeped and asked you to leave a message. Beware! Won't stop calling!

This is a Rogers number and they try and sell you all their products.  I have said atleast three times that I don't need to buy anything, and then they keep calling back !! :(

call  3 or 4  times a day  never a human just a hangup  like numerous other telemarking jerks  WILL CHECK BILL TO SEE IF THEY HAVE WAY OF CHARGING 4 THIS CRAP

I've also been getting calls every day.  Tonight I finally answered and the guy said he was from Rogers and had a deal for Rogers Home Phone.  Funny thing is I already have Rogers Home Phone.  When I told him this, his response was "At this address?"  He seemed surprised, which makes me wonder if he actually was from Rogers!??

they call me at least once, usually twice a day (London, Ontario). I just pick up the phone and then hang up (like I do with other numbers that always call and never leave a message).

Both our home phone & our business line (different numbers) started ringing at the same time.  When I checked, it was the same number on both displays.  I wonder how many other phone numbers this automated-annoyance is calling at the same time.

Note this is a Canadian number through a canadian carrier.

They are subject to the CRTC regulations.

Try looking up the CRTC and sending them the complaints, this is the regulatory board for Telecommunications in Canada

Recd a call from this number, found this by using star 69 as I screen all calls and they did not leave a message on machine.  Did not recognize area code so looked this up, and found that this is in Toronto.

Based on research does anyone really know who these people are, the carrier apparently is Allstream, and they are not listed as a business.

That # calls my house 3-4 times a day. When I answered the phone the first few times, no one was on the other end. So I stopped answering, and still no message is left.  This has been going on for a couple of weeks.  Why do they bother phoning and not leaving a message? Why is nobody on the other end when I do pick up?  It's ticking me off something fierce.

This caller keeps calling my cell phone sometimes twice a day, back to back. I'm pissed because the minute i answer my phone, the line hangs up and my minutes are being deducted. Whoever the hell it is please do everyone a favor and get a life!

The name of the company is Omega Direct.  Call 705-669-0011.  This another office contact that will let you talk to a human or sub-human depending on how you view telemarketers.  Calling the 647 number is useless as you get lost in their telemarketing software.  Same deal with the number listed on their website. If you want to have real fun, mention that the next people they talk to will be from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police if your number is not removed.  Its worth it to hear the person's voice shake, but after 47 calls in a two week period, I wasn't feeling so nice at that point.

I am in NJ. Received two calls so far from this number. Answered 2nd time. An indian guy saying he was Cablevison? I dont get it, We already have cablevison and its not in Ontario!
Anyway..he wanted to sell me a load of crap..a box..packages..etc..who knows. I hung up.

They called several times within the past few weeks and never left a message.  I finally picked up today and it was Cablevision trying to get me to sign on with them.

After watching a porno movie in cablevision.. the calls beging appearing...

They just keep calling, asking the name and hanging up. We are on Do not call list Messages left are useless, I also e-mailed Cablevision let's see what happens

Scam, Be careful and check out your phone bill if this number appears on your phone bill. Don't reply to this number. They try to rip off your money by doing this.

I think they are a some kind of phone company, if you have a caller ID, you will call back to this number, if it is a long distance call, then they will charge you the long distance fee, so it's the way they want to make money from you by your dialing back to this number, it's a scam....

these calls need to stop theyre so annoyign. what do i do to make sure this # cant call me? its also canadian so if i call back its long distance

we have recieved several calls today and when you answer they hang up. We let the answering machine get it last and they left a blank message which sounded as if someone was fumbling around

Well well we received our phone bill today and noticed this number on it as a chargeable msg (customer dialed #) for 7mins. cost $3.01 at 9:23am. I asked my mother and she never made such a call. She called Bell and they couldn't even trace the # so they are going to credit the charge. What scares me is how did they manage to get the charge on our bill. Very strange.

Sometimes we receive six calls day and night.  We have started to take the phone off the hook at night because we have been awaken.  At 70 years old, we do not need this aggravation and disturbance.  It is difficult to get back to sleep.

Obvious after reading above messgaes, the no call list doesn't matter to these folks. I get calls daily also.

We have been receiving calls from this number for a couple weeks.  At first I just ignored it; but tonite I actually took a good look at the caller ID and it said "Ontario Call" and then the phone number.  I thought, hmm, we don't know anyone in Ontario; then we though it could be my brother-in-law but he's in Denmark so I went to google, typed in the phone number and got this website.  When our answering machine answers they hang up.  I called the number back, was told "diane" is on another line and leave a msg.  So I left a msg (believe me it was not very nice!)  So, we'll see if they call anymore

I'm in Wisconsin where they are calling on behalf of Charter to sell you showtime.  3 times I have talked to a supervisor and asked to be removed from the call list.  I have also called their corporate office (416) 640-3399 and Charter without success.  It has be almost 2 weeks and they continue to call.

I have filed a complaint with the State of Wisconsin.  See if it works.

Call repeatedly for my husband and will not leave a message.

We get calls from this number as well.  We do not answer.  I called the number once and got some unidentified person's voicemail.  We are a Charter customer AND on the DNC list.  It is my understanding that even if you are on this list, companies that you do business with are not exempt from calling.

These guys have called us several times today including after 8:30PM when my kids are in bed. Very irritating. No message left when ignored.
