I received numerous calls from this and another number mentioned above.  The fellow asked if he could count on my support of the liberal party in the coming election.  I said 'yeah sure' he preceded to tell me someone would be over to install my lawn sign.  I told him, no bloody signs and hung up.

I called, got to the president,(Bharat Hansraj) left a message in regards to all of our comments.

It was a clean yet nasty one.

Curiosity might be solved.   Received a call from 647-288-9085 for the third time today so finally answered last call.   Seems its someone calling on behalf of BRAD DUGUID OF THE LIBERAL PARTY in our area.   Frankly I don't think it's any of their business who I vote for. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE SECRET BALLOTS. And if they don't stop calling they ain't getting my vote.

Just call forward the number back to the conservatives they can talk to each other

Contact the company to be removed from the harrassment list and contact the Liberal Party or your MP to complain about this pointless campaign. I got fed up with getting called again and again every day just to be hung up on or get a blank voice mail message.

Called. No one on line. Line disconnected. Called them via Skype and it is the Liberal Party of Ontario. Wrote my MPP to get off list.

It is the liberal Party. Might be getting a bit concerned about losing the anti-faith based schools?

I keep getting this call but I have an aswering machine and they don't go further than three rings.MY answering machine has a response from Dirty Harry about his gun and a clicking sound and my telemarketer calls are down now.

Hey you can doubt all you want - it's a quasi-free country. I know what I heard when I called the number back and it was a "courtesy call from the Ontario Liberal Party" - and if you don't believe me, see the other posts preceding mine on this call origin as well.

3 calls from these people in the last 2 days.  CRTC should act up and protect the interests of the Canadian people instead of those of the telemarketers and lobbyists (look the 'no call list' - how many years and still nothing materialized - what a joke!)

I once 'reasoned' with the Toronto Sun telemarketer - telling her it'd be a waste of their time to keep calling me since I won't subscribe no matter how many calls they make (people'd be surprised to find how naive some of these people are - thinking calling the same people repeatedly and bugging them to eventually buy their crap).  The brilliant response I got was: "well, I'm sure you'd understand that a lot of young people wouldn't have a job if we are not allowed to make sales calls...." yeah, right...why not just legalize bank-robbing since otherwise a lot of young people would be out of a job...

They are calling on behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party (GREAT way to LOSE an election!!!!)

PLEASE READ: I got THREE calls in one day (a Saturday!) from these a*sholes at Omega Direct Response Inc. (www.omegadirect.com) - one from 647-288-7825 and the others from 647-288-9085. All hang-ups, no messages. These days they are shilling on behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party because of the provincial election.

When I called back once I actually got an automated message saying something to the effect of "if you have received a call from this number it was from a courtesy call on behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party..." So I did some checking. They've set up their corporate number's {(416)640-3399} voice mail box in such a way as to PREVENT you (outside of their normal office hours) from leaving a message so that you could ask to have yr # removed.

What's more, when you try to go to # 3 (company directory/name spelling) to get the extension # so you can leave a message for their top a*shole (one Mister(?) "Bharat Hansraj, President and CEO" - taken from their own website's press releases) their phone system beeps in some strange way and doesn't let you progress to actually enter digits as needed.

I would strongly suggest you call Mr/Ms Hansraj during office hours and let these f**kers know, in no uncertain terms, how YOU feel about their assaholic calling practices. Cheers!

Just got the same call-hangup number. I can't help but wonder if the phone number isn't actually the Liberal Party, but just the conservatives trying to foster ill will. I only suggest it because it's something the Republicans did back in 2006 - calling people at dinnertime and hanging up, and having answering machine messages that implied the Democratic party was responsible for the calls.

got the same thing!  My mom picked up, caller asked for my (my first name and last) I said 'hello' and caller hung up.

Calls every other day or so and hangs up.  Happened 4 times so far.  Always around 8:30-9:00 P.M.

We called this number back. The message says that "You have received a courtesy call on behalf of the Liberal Party. If you would like to leave a message please do so. Thank you and have a great day."

I guess the Liberals are trying to lose more voters. Interesting way of doing it.

Bell Canada reverse search claims the user is based in Toronto... the carrier is Allstream, but the caller is unknown.
