number keeps calling and not leaving message

Follow-up:

I've received a reply from Sick Kids. This is a genuine phone call, not a telemarketer or a scam.

"Thank you for your email. We are currently running a program in which our donors are being contacted to advise them of the matching gift incentive.

"The call you received was not a fraudulent call.  Unfortunately, we do not have any information available on our website or via mail about the matching gift program as the donor has requested to remain anonymous.

"The donor does have a relationship with the hospital as her grandchildren have been treated at the hospital and so this is why she has chosen to give back."

People are jumping to the "scam" conclusion, and I'll admit, I did too. However, it seems that this is actually a company that various charities hire to do telephone canvassing for them, hence why you see multiple charities listed here.

We were told that the donations were for Sick Kids, and that a donor was matching donations. When we asked for more information, we were directed to the official Sick Kids website but couldn't find anything matching what the caller was talking about. They did not pressure us to make a donation at that moment, but agreed that finding more information online and donating directly was also acceptable.

I've sent an e-mail to Sick Kids to see if they can shed a little more light on the situation, and will report back.

Same number, lady said it was for Sick Kids Foundation, asked for my credit card number and I didn't go for that one! Alot of static on the line as well.

picked up, thinking it was a friend of mine - turns out it was a guy from the Toronto Humane Society. I told him I'm at work and he politely ended the call.

I got a call from this number but I did not pick up...This prankster caller did not leave a message

Said they were from covenant house, wanted the wife, wouldn't talk to me. Sounded like he wasn't sure who he worked for.

They call pretty much once a month. I don't pick up any more!

Got a call last week a woman voice offering financial services... got a call today @ 12:26 again unknown caller but did not pick up. To me it's a scam... should I call the number, I would not press any number...

Unknown Caller Called at 6:32 EST Yesterday (2013-03-01). Rang, but when picked up and answered, "Hello". No reply from the far end. Hmm.

Got a call guy new my name he said he was calling from Sunny Brook hospital. just hung up the phone

Pretty sure this is a telemarketer. I just called back, and it gave me an option to put myself on the do not call list.
