So this phone number just called and identified themselves as the Canadian Police Association. They said they were trying to raise funds for bullied children.  The guy just went into this pitch and didn't even ask for anyone. I told him I couldn't approve any payment and that we weren't interested...the number wasn't even local to our area so it didn't make sense to me. ANNOYING!

've been getting this number xalling alot and they dont leave  messages on machine. I have medical issues and cannot be disturbed  they need to stop.

called around 3:30pm and left message "Hello, (pause) can you hear me okay?"
sounded like a machine more than a person.
Call all you want - I still won't answer...but really you should find a real job and make an honest dollar.

buy a panasonic cordless phone with the "call blocking" feature, and go to it!  works well, but can only block 30 numbers at a time.

not really.  any association can ask for donations.  they only need to register with the revenuers IF they want to give tax-deductible receipts, and they can't give you anything (like tickets to a game), if the donation is to be deductible.

the do-not-call-list?  fuggedaboudit!  "charities" (and political parties) are exempted under the legislation.

Can't imagine why neither the phone company nor the government will do something about this despite many protestations.
Perhaps we all ought to have voted for the NaziDPs party.

13 cALLS - WHY ARE YOU TOLERATING....TAKE ACTION WITH YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER. These calls are harrassing and mischief - legally can charge if documented.  

Only way to stop these PESTS, disturbing many lives.

Suggest you reach out to 647-367-9704 if you believe your own comments....If they know they are Being Call Traced possibly when ans machine comes on they will outline who and why they are calling and leave a return number if do not wish to be bothered,,,

ANNOYING CALLS ARE BECOMING HARASSING when constant...Hence Am documenting with my service provider these calls....am close to pursuing Harrassment and Mischief charges.  Would hope more people would start to turn to taking action to rid these PESTS.

I just got the same call but was greeted with a male caller (recorded) claiming the same... something about kids... I hung up.

Receive many calls per week from this # 647-367-9704 claiming to be Cdn Police Asoc. - Most often they ring and hang up.  This is business number they are calling, so the phone must get anwered, this is becoming very annoying.  

Whoever, whatever, whenever, wherever, if a call without leaving any message or when you picked up a call and they hung up, then you must understand that this call have a hidden bad intention.  They may wear an angel of mercy costumes but still they have a bad intention to scam you.  So beware and becareful of this type of call.

This number keeps calling everyday, never left a message...so annoying.

Scam

This number keeps calling every single day, no message whatsoever. Too bad can't block it like my cell.  There are way too many unknown phone numbers calling.

I've received 13 calls to date (over two weeks) from this number. If this number is legitimately linked to a bonafide Police Association then shame on them both. Can the carriers (Bell, Telus etc...) not censure them?

Nothing but a pain in the A$$. I' like to get the caller's home phone number - it would then be my turn to drive them nuts ! ! !

If it was a charitable fundraiser of any sort, then the legally have to have a charitable registration number for tax purposes. The Canadian Police Association is not located in that area code, but they do use a third party....IMarketing Solutions Group in Toronto to do the telemarketing. I have checked it out this far, but haven't checked out the number with this group. Just because the number doesn't have the name of the association, doesn't mean its a scam, possible reason is, its a telemarketing group, which has several numbers, calling on behalf of the organization. Hope that helps!  ;)

Can't stand the phone ringing from obvious scam artists. They never leave a message, and I won't pick up. I wouldn't open my door to a stranger. Why do they feel they can enter my home through phone? Really, these people should be charged.

Third unwanted call from this number in 3 days. Have done *57 call trace so recorded with phone company hence total of 3 call traces have on file.  They just phone, todays call at 11:20am as soon as answering machine comes on they hang up.  Harrassing calls - if valid caller would have left a message,

Sad when the phone becomes an invader in your home. Rule - No longer unanswer phone unless know who is calling.  All other callers ignored...unless a valid voice message left.

Called various times answered a couple of times they said your dead then hung up

Just got a call from them and they were persuading to give the money for kids security on streets, pretended to be police, asked to give as little as 25 dollars...

too many calls..number shows but unknown caller..they never leave a voice mail message..most recent call came in today at 10:04am , Did call trace SO HOPE POLICE TRACK these pests...

I am getting a lot of 800 # calling, now this number shows also.  I am not answering!

This # keeps calling numerous times to our VERY busy dental office, no response when we answer.  Very annoying!!!!

Just called a few minutes ago, did not pick up, did not leave a message and this indicated that just another call from supermarket man or simply another fox wearing sheep skin costumes and ready to attack innocent people.

this is a new one for me calling 3 times daily for  a week blocked the number to no avail !
