Stop calling me!!!!!! Its constant and there's never anyone on the other line. Today for the first time someone from this number actually asked for me and then someone in the room said 30....and hung up!

This is one of several suspicious calls we have been getting over the past month. They call and don't speak, sounds automated.
We have had many break in's in our neighbourhood recently - I am concerned that criminals are using our home phone numbers to check if people are home.
Can a number be blocked for free?

Picked up phone they were looking for some won I said yes can I ask who's calling, they said if there not there we will call back. I responded they are here but can I ask who's calling so I can tell them. There were very long pauses like they dident know what to say. They said they would call back and hung up.
