Please stop this BS

Got a call from this number yesterday around 5:00 pm here in Calgary.  I didn't know the number so left it to voice mail.  They did not leave a message.  Assuming it's a scam.

If they want to rob me, just knock on my door and we'll have a battle of the Titans

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

Wow- apparently I just lost my last chance to take advantage of the "stimulus" which would reduce my interest rate.  Way too annoying.

Do you guys ever report these calls to the government? I try to and it usually works for awhile. With all these stories reported I bet they'd seriously go after them.

This is yet another fraudulent scam.  Telemarketer gave a fraudulent name, refused to identify the company he works for, and refused to identify himself.  Wish the Canadian Gov't would pursue these scammers who violate the Do Not Call List.

Calls regularly to both home and fax numbers.  Seems to be something about lowering credit card interest rate (I never listen to the entire message).   Of course, they don't even identify the credit card company (not that those guys would ever offer to lower the rate anyway).

The best way to really piss these people off is to take up their time, if there busy talking to you than it's eating up their time to call someone else. Why not have some fun rather than getting pissed off.

Also just received a call from this number - I did not answer as didn't recognize the number.  I'm also on the Do Not Call list, which doesn't seem to make any difference to receiving these kinds of calls.

That would be nice and I agree, but until we get unlimited call blocking from the phone service providers or other programs, we can help ourselves. Google call blocking devices and phones, many are under 60 and hold as high as 1500.

these prankster or rather - crooks, find a unused number and call through that number.  This is how they "hide" so they can't be tracked.  I think we should be given unlimited call blocking on our phone services so that we can lock all of these number and don't have to deal with all of these people.

I pressed 1 today and told the guy to stop calling me.. then he called me a f**king b*tch.

just received a call from this number and I decided to answer.  It was a recorded announcement about lowering your interest rate and to press 1 to speak to a rep....no other options.  So I decided I was going to talk to them and give them a piece of my mind.   After a long silence I got switched over to a heavily accented male who started on the "hi this is so and so and I can help you"   There was lots of noise in the background like a call centre.   I politely asked the person to remove me from their call list and I go a loud click in my ear.  He hung up on me!  ha ha ha.

I keep getting calls from this number, (come up as missed calls) but when I call back it says the number is not in service???  I don't understand how they can call when it supposedly is not in service!

Just received a call from this number.  I pressed 1 to speak to a representative.  When he came on the line I asked him why he was calling me.  He said I had a visa card with high interest rate.  I told him that was funny because I do not have any credit cards.  He assured me I did and when I repeated loudly that I do not have a credit card and for them to stop calling me immediately, he abruptly hung up!

LOL, I had a similar experience today where he too told me I did not have to be such a B*t*h!
I asked him what financial institution backed the card, he would not tell me until I gave him the information he needed to continue. I have to admit I had nothing better to do at the time so I thought I would have some fun.... ( I know I lead a sad life!!!)
