This is not a scam. I had my water heater and furnace installed this winter by Simply Green Home Services. The "audit" was just an assessment to see if I would qualify for the free installation and government rebates.
I receive their rental charges each month on the Enbridge bill listed as "Eco Home Financial"
I also received a rebate for $250. No complaints here.

Received a call last night claiming to be an authorized representative of Enbridge Gas Distribution and wanting to do an energy audit of my home to qualify me for a rebate. They used the company name Simply Green which is NOT on the authorized list of energy auditors on the Enbridge website. A google search of Simply Green indicates a company called Simply Green Home Services with a vague website saying "check back soon" and according to the Better Business Bureau website they are a water heater dealer. SCAM!!!

Called my line. I didn't answer and no message was left. I tried calling number back and received recording that my call did not go through. Tried several times with same result.
