Just like all you others, thanks for the tip, they won't be bothering us again, I just blocked them.

I have just added this number to my home phone no call list with bell.
It should block all calls from this number, if it works.

I rec'd call from this number. Answering machine picked up. No message left.
Thanks to the others who reported that it's another instance of the "credit card lower your interest rate" SCAM.
Reporting the call to CRTC Do Not Contact List...

They called and they said they were from from the Bank, and would lower something for me.
When I asked whether they wanted to talk to me or my wife, who has a different last name they hung up. It seems to be a scam of some kind. They just call randomly until they get a sucker on the line.
Beware.

I recieved a call from 647-547-2071, automated voice asked me if I wanted lower interest rates on my credit card (cc), press 1. A lady answered and asked if I was calling for lower rates, I said you called me, I guess so. Then she asked for my home phone number. I said you called me, you don't have #? How do I know if this is legit? Then she hung up.
I called my cc company. They said it is a third party company that offers a service to get your interest rates lowered, they basically get on a three way call with you and the cc company. So what's the catch? The third party company bills you an extreme amount (up to $2000, the operator said). So at the end of the day they are a legit company but offering a bogus service because yo can just call on your own and leave out the middleman.
