just dont answer calls that you never see/ recognize
they change numbers alot

If you don't recognize the number don't answer it, pretty straight forward.  I got a call today, didn't answer and will probably never get another call.  So in saying all that, DON'T ANSWER, your just going to annoy yourself!!

They called me and is didn't answer because I was guessing that they were telemarketers!

I received a call this morning from this number 647-557-5021 , did not answer. The phone rang once I did not have the time to see the number. Same as usual unknown numbers are scammers.  

Got a call the other day from 1.647.557.5021 on my cell phone. I don't answer unidentified numbers so I didn't.  Then I checked my voicemail and there was a snippet of an robo-caller letting me know that if I participated in the survey, I would be eligible for a free trip to the Bahamas.  Needless to say I wasn't interested in a free trip or an offer of a free trip.   Then they called a few days later at 3:31AM!!!

They are at it again. This time to my work cell. 647-557-5021.

It rang once then they hung up. I did not have a chance to even look at the number. Thought it was family from out of town.

This number called my cell ... checked here and sent it to spam .... thanks guys!

Unwanted caller. Now blocked but they sure are a pain in the butt.

That depends .. on my phone lines, picking up on the first ring alone can toss it into oblivion just by picking it up too quick. It will disconnect the call just that quick. But we are talking about phone lines and equipment that is of BC age..  Allowing these calls to go to a answering machine just verifys they have a live number also.

Someone above mentioned picking up the phone and then hanging up before they scammers could get started with their automated sales pitch. Do NOT do this - just by lifting the phone (or hitting the green/on button) to answer - even if you hang up immediately - you are only CONFIRMING for them that your telephone number is valid and even if they can't sell you on their scam this time, now they know to keep dialing your number. And they know your number is a valid one, so they can also sell it as a part of their database of verified working numbers to *other scammer*.

Any number that you do NOT recognize you should NOT answer. If it is a legitimate caller, they will leave a message on your voice mail or answering machine, which you can choose to return (or not) at your convenience.

There are even companies calling _only_ to see *IF* and *WHEN* people do answer. They are amassing a database to sell to other scammer companies of not only what numbers to call, but the best time(s) of day and best day(s) of the week to call, o as to catch someone at home who will pick up.

I am travelling on the road a lot . And I do not want to receive this call again ever !!!!

Those fooled by the "free cruise" scammers, will be left waiting at the dock, for a ship that never comes, while the scammers sail away with their credit card information!

Got a call at noon, unknown name on caller ID.  Lifted receiver, waited for the relay to click in, then hung up.  I do this with any and all unknown/unsolicited call.  All these posts show that they are almost all scams.

Canceling your land line is pointless - They call cell numbers too. That's how I got here.

They call cells as well as landlines. Costs me money, landlines don't for what it's worth. Shut them down Big Brother!

Got a call at 9:57AM PST.  Didn't pick up.

Called three times in one afternoon when I would not pick up the phone.

This number just called my (613) cell 'phone, which is on the do-not-call list. I didn't answer it.
