I received the same message about a job offer and the promise of a Cashier's Check as well. I determined from the e-mail that something was fishy so I investigated more in to the Apex Group and Jack Reed. CEO of Apex Group. I will be taking any information I have to the police.

I received a very similar e-mail from a man named Jack Reed CEO of Apex Group. I figured out from the e-mail that it was definitely a scam and plan on taking any information I have to the police.

Here is the full E-Mail He has sent to me. They never asked for any driving record or background check this raised a Huge Red Flag.

It is my pleasure to inform you that your application has been approved; you have been cleared to be our TRUCK DRIVER in this area. I will arrive in the State two weeks from now. Then i shall brief you more on your duties. Your job will start before i leave Ontario, Canada...which means you will be working from home for two weeks before the office is opened.

A "cashier's check" will be sent to you for the shipping company that is shipping the Truck and other basic things needed to establish Apex Group in your state. You are to deposit the cashier's check and deduct $300 (as part of your wages which is going to be your first pay check) the remaining funds will be going to the shipping company. All other information of Apex Group will be given to you upon my arriver in two weeks? time which is when the office will be officially open for you to start work full time .

Basic wage is $1600 per weeks $6,400 monthly (excluding tax). Home everyday

I have received an email notification exactly like the ones shown except for a couple of differences such as This CEO is named Jack Reed and this is the number he gave me 1.647.785.6956.  It seems he is changing some information I hope this helps, this guy needs to be caught ASAP!

I just got almost the exact same email, sounded a little weird so i have been doing some investigating! I believe it is a big time scam, i have worked for a lot of legit transportation companies. Hiring someone with out ever talking to them or checking driving records is a tell tale sign of a scam, avoid this guy. The number i received to call was 647-785-6956. Report this guy immediately if you get contacted from him!
