Debt Collector
You are wrong, collection agents are governed by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that is governed by the FTC, the FDCPA has ALOT of grey area which debt collectors exploit, they are well with in there legal rights to call you once a day, and can call you twice or more if they feel the call dropped out "due to technical issues". The bottom line is, if you own money then pay it. Debt collectors will not generally call 3rd parties frequently, it's not in their interest unless they know you are hiding something, it's amazing how much information a debt collector has at their disposal. But like i said if you owe it then pay it, US debt alone is in the $48 Trillion ball park and this is because of debtors, they are a stain on the economy and if all they get in return is a bad credit report and a few phone call then i feel this very justified.

anthony from what I found out was "collectcorp" kept calling, and I kept telling him that I don't know this person of the name he described. told him to stop calling after the 20 or 30th time he called, told me he didn't have to. told him I will be consulting a lawyer (my bestfriend is a lawyer), calls still didn't stop.
so, all in all, my friend made some phone calls calls have since stopped.
we will see...guess you have to show a little muscle to these ego-maniacs with a single IQ point. calls again, and it will be a lawsuit for harassment.

I am getting calls from this place at all hours. Sure I am back a couple of payments but if this keeps up I will also need a new place to live. What can be done?

Living with shift workers trying to start back to the work force and managing a dept load wow like
i need calls to be reminded of past ventures...

Debt Collector
According to my research the number belongs to ColectCorp, the Royal Bank of Canada's collection division. They will not identify themselves without you identifying yourself to them. They claim this is because of the Privacy Act.
