They claim to be Ontario police. This is a scam. If you get this call. Report it to your local police. Do not give money.

He is being getting cheques from us saying its for Toronto police and public safety.
I think Toronto police should take action
They are getting about 200$ each company.

I work for a restaurant in downtown Toronto. I have received a call from this number several times claiming to be from Ontario Police. He gave me the same story except said that the Ontario Police were launching a safety blitz over drinking and driving for the holiday season. Asked to pick up business cards and a check for $150 for an ad in their publication. Needless to say, after reading these write ups I'm happy I went with my gut and thought it was phony. HE'S A SCAM ARTIST. DON'T GET SUCKED IN.

They are not polices. This is a fraud collecting money from small businesses. Be careful and report them to real police.

Received a call from 647-748-5300. A Gentleman claiming to work for the Ontario Police called, saying he had called my main office number and that my staff had given him my number (which my staff know not to do unless it was urgent...since he identified himself as police, and we had just had our van stolen, of course they passed on my number). He basically said that he wanted to come by and pickup a couple of business cards for use in their publication. He said it was a publication about safety awareness in our community, which would help spread the word. He was very pushy to get my info and a commitment. When I started saying that I wasn't in the office and that I'd love for him to come by and dropoff a copy of the magazine so that I can make sure it's something I'd like our business card to be associated with, and to do my due diligence. He got defensive and said "of course this is something you want to be associated with, we're not going to screw your business over or anything like that." A weird response. When I pressed the matter further saying I'd be happy to give him my cards, and he coudl come pick them up and drop off the magazine so I could look into it, he said "Alright then, bye bye" and hung up. Do not trust this guy. If you start hearing this speech, hang up on him!
