telemarketer scams. Dont give them any information, especially if they ask you to press some keys on your phone, they try to hijack your line or they try to get CC information from you for free stuff.

If you have to pay to receive your "prize," it?s not a prize at all.

Just keep asking them their address.. its funny how fast they hang up. Also just ask them what city they are calling from and if you have call display you can tell them they are lying when they say Montreal, as it comes up with a Toronto area code. Then they say its because they are on VOiP system. Then tell them, it dont matter the VoiP will still be in their calling area (area code) for call display. Only Skype comes up 123456

So Far I have had 5 calls from this number asking for me by name

Today only called once but they have been calling for days

Karen.. the police here in Nova Scotia  took a report and told me to inform my phone provider about the number.  perhaps you should do the same .. as it is a computer generated phone number that is part of a scam.

When you call this number back ..which I did .. it says that it is a cell phone that has not be assigned yet.. the police told me to call my provider and either have number blocked or change my phone number. My phone provider is Magic Jack ..and I had no idea how to block the number ..and a new phone number was going to cost me $10.00.. The lady I chatted with was very good once she discovered that this was a bad call..
" Georgina:  we will investigate this problem. You are our valued customer and we are here for you. okay. Just have your trust in me. We will solve this problem in our end."
I will receive an email notifying me of the solution.
I suggest to anyone receiving these kinds of calls to notify your local police ..then your telephone service provider.. the more people that know about these criminals the harder it will be for them to do what they do.
Seems when they find a good number they have a way to use it to call long distance on your time and money.

i have been getting calls from this number for a couple of days..i just let voice mail pick up. but it is still annoying
