I got the call two weeks back. I said yes just to get red of him since he told me it is free to cacle it after the first month. He said they will send some details by mail which I didn't receive yet.
Now, How can I cancle this thing!

I don't remember what type of info he asked for but the credit card number was not one of them for sure.

Talked to a TD rep about this number. They say its one of their online numbers and that they may ask some questions about personal info to verify you are the cardholder before making changes.they shouldn't be asking before you agree to the service. She also said though, that they will never ask for SIN or your card PIN and that if you aren't convinced, its safer to get the service in person at a branch (though some services are only offered by 3rd party companies). If you're not convinced, say no to be safe!

This number calling constantly is annoying

I keep getting calls from this number and when i answer i can hear that someone or something is on the other end and then it hangs up...nothing is said.  when I tried calling back it said "circuits are busy now" and my call disconnects....

What the hell is this? do you know how to block this number?

They keep calling and asking for someone who doesn't even live here,have tried blocking but to no avail.

I googled their number when I had a missed call from them. I found this thread. When they called back again today, The woman was pissed off because I told her I don't have a credit card to protect after talking a lot about having my credit card protection blah blah blah. Serves her well.

Stop calling people.  It is harrassment.

Same here, reporting the same number. They haven't stopped calling me - and after 5pm, too. It's really irritating.

Started calling me November 6th and never said anything and would hang up. They've called me everyday since then and for the last could days have started calling me TWICE a day. Its getting really annoying.

I got this call a couple of times so I called TD credit card. They said it was legit. I asked her to explain the credit alert service that they were selling and she described it the exact same way this strange number did. She confirmed this marketing company is based in arizona like the strange number said they were but that they are working from toronto hence the 647 area code. She said its legit but if youre not interested just tell them that your not and to take you off the calling list. If you do want the service and dont feel comfortable signing up for it when someone calls you, just call td directly and sign up for it.

I said "No, I don't need it"
He said "May I know why?"
I told him "I don't have TD Credit Card"

This is a definite scam, can't call the number back and the person on the line asked whether or not I wanted a free credit report and some other service and if i minded that the call would be monitored for quality assurance all in one breath.  what a bunch of losers.  isn't there any police number that can be called to report such an occurrence?

It's easy enough to turn the table on these creeps.  Just make up some false information, give a fake date of birth, fake address, and make up a credit card number.  They'll get a bunch of fake information thinking they can use it.

another call from some place claiming to act "on behalf of TD" and offered to send me a credit report to 'ensure' correctness and 'prevent' credit card fraud.  Told rep I was not interested and hung up.

Angela, I also just received the same call and ALSO recently made a purchase from Amazon last week.  It's the only purchase I've made on the card recently too. Did you notice any unusual charges to your card? Worries me a little! I would have just assumed that Amazon was a safe system, but our stories seem too similar to be a coincidence.

I cut her off before she could even start getting into their services, but my caller had a very strong southern accent.

Got the call from this number today. They knew my name, offered credit card services in behalf of TD, asked for the number. Looks like a scam; i doubt the TD representatives would call from a cellphone.

I have gotten 4 calls again from this number in the last 24 hours. It is very annoying and I'm fed up with it. I want this to stop. How do I get these calls to stop? I have been getting calls from this number continuously. Almost every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. I don't pick up the phone, but I call back from a landline and it is always busy. I don't understand what I'm supposed to do to get it to stop. If these people like it so much then we should see if they like it done to them when they're in the middle of work and trying to get things done and they get constantly called by this number. What gives? What am I supposed to do? Let's apply "do unto others as you would want done unto you" and see what happens.

This # has been calling everyday for months, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.  We never answer it and they never leave a message.  Lately I pick it up and hang up right away and they still call.  Why doesn't the police look into phone #'s like this???

This number keeps calling me about 2-3 times everyday, at a random time for the past 3 weeks. Also, the caller does not leave any messages if this is an urgent matter. I don't usually answer incoming calls that is not in my contact list. THIS IS ANNOYING!

continually get calls from 647-931-1190 daily, never answer them; also from 800-886-0406

I keep getting calls from this number! From 2-5 calls a day about every day or every other day! It's very annoying! I'm out of the country so I can't even pick up the phone to say "knock it off". I don't want to receive anymore calls from here anymore. Please help!

Been getting calls from this number for weeks now, usually daily, sometimes twice a day. I don't usually pick up and they never leave a message. After finding out it may be a possible scam I answered to see what they were trying to do and I spoke with a lady who was offering a credit report service I believe for 19$ a month, she just assumed I wanted the service too. I asked if I could call her back and she said no, she'd call me back. She said she was from, "GRG resource" I called TD to inquire about it and they said they were affiliated with Carlson Marketing which owns/run GRG resource (but she didn't know anything about the service "they" were offering). Told me to call Carlson Marketing at 1-800-548-2610 to ask about GRG Resource and the particular caller. TD also advised me to NOT give out any personal information if they asked and that they had been getting a few calls about this and weren't too sure about it themselves.

I ended up downloaded a block call app to "stop" the calls.

I have been receiving these calls multiple times a day for the past month now.  There is no one on the line.  I tried the "*" suggestion, but it hasn't worked. This is driving me nuts, and I don't know how to stop it.

Any other suggestions on blocking this number?!
