Call from Turks and Caicos Islands and said they were from Bell and wanted to give me a free phone from Bell

called telling me they were bell .... SCAM!!!!!!

Called today and I let the machine get it.
All the message consisted of was some heavy breathing
and then hung up.

They called my cell phone; it rang once then quit.  No message.

Got a call from these ones too - no message just blank air. My guess telephone scammers.

Same situation. They said they were calling on behalf of Bell Mobility and wanted to ship a free "complementary phone" with loads of cool functions. Even when I said I was unable to speak English (I'm french speaking person) the guy kept going. Even worse, I had my 3 months baby crying and the guy kept talking. I asked for a callback number saying that I was too busy and I didn't trust the call. They gave me a 1-888 number. Unfortunately, I was actually really too busy to take note of it. Still sounds fake to me

Today, I experienced the exact situation as Esse Quam Videri described.  They're still at it.  However, when I refused to answer the phone, they started calling from a different number where the caller ID was Ontario and the number was 905 146 5864.

got a call from Angela Hernandez from an 800-917-4194 yesterday for the free Blackberry.  When she asked for my SIN I said I would think about the promotion and call her back if I was interested.  She put her supervisor on the line - very difficult to understand - he asked for the SIN too.  I said I would think about it.  Today Angela called again from  #649-167-5970, came up as Turks Caicos Is on my display.   She says she will call back after her days off.

got the same sort of call and she tried to insist that I needed this BELL phone. Unfortunately, and elderly couple friends of ours fell for the scam, but I haven't seen the results yet. they have tried calling my home and cell and asked for different family members.

Rc'd the same call - Angela Rodriguez is her name (who knows if she exists) tried to get me to accept a free BELL phone. She was persistant. She kept telling me to give it to my loved one..... I finally told her if my loved one was attached to the phone I might take it, otherwise she should keep the phone. She started laughing about my sense of humor and I just wished her a good day and hung up quickly. It is tiring the way people are used to market a product. The job is not a nice job to have. It is not paid good (Minimum wages)and I feel sorry for everyone that has to make a living like this in the year 2010.

OMG... did she sound like a Philipina girl? I got the exact call said she was in Richmond... I talked a long time with her... I just told her that I have a Philipina gf in the philipines who I met online...actually I JUST found out my internet gf is a poser and has been scammin me for money... luckily I found out sooner than later that she's been playing me.
Im gonna make my experience into a short movie, maybe some good will come out of it :)

Just got a call from the guy to verify my information and it showed up as an Ontario number 905-135-3647 and he said he called from Richmond and asked if I still wanted the phone Hung up on him.

Trying to give me a 400 bell cell phone for free.Wanted my sin number or visa number. asked her where she was calling from and she saidd Richmond BC. I said no way, or it would have come up as a call from BC> Gave me some toll free number I could call to verify, yet I could not find that number on the bell website. Finally hung up on her.
