I just received too-never visited a website-no clue what this is

I received the same message via text on my cell phone.  It was sent from 650-229-4595.  The message read, "[T]hanks 4 Visiting Our Website Call 800-571-4835 To Claim Your $200 Walmart Voucher! Reply STOP2Unsub."  I believe this is a scam to obtain a persons identity information.  I'm on the National Do Not Call list for Solicitation.  I never visited their Website and their identity is never mentioned when you call the 1-800 # to investigate.  I believe these people are frauds or scam artists phishing for more information on your identity.  Do not text them back is my advise and call from an anonymous number.

If anyone finds out who these people are, please report them to the authorities.  I believe its a fraudulent scam.

Just received a text to call 800-572-4835 to get a $200. Walmart card and a thanks for visiting their website which I did not do.  I said to type "stop" to unsubscribe but I don't text and couldn't figure out how to do it so I just deleted it.  My cell number is registered on the "Do Not Call List"

I did not visit a website. Clearly a scam

same visiting/walmart $100 text.  must be related to "77893".  these guys are dicks

I got the same text, & I also did not visit any sites. So I chose not to reply. I called the 800 # to investigate to see who they are but no one answers. So, they must just be pulling cell #'s at random.

Just got the same message as everyone else.  How can we stop this stuff?

I never visited the website and I have no idea where this message is coming from.

Received text message "Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website Call 800-571-4835 To Claim Your $200 Walmart Voucher! Reply STOP 2Unsub or Call 415-513-5459 2 Unsub Now" from this number.

Two of these scam text messages in one day!! After receiving a number of others in recent weeks. So annoying.

Make sure you report it to your phone provider as well as to the FCC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm) as soon as possible so that they start doing something about it!

I was calling the number back to complain about the 10 PM text messages, but I got the recording that the subscriber is not taking calls at this time, also. I'm just going to call my phone carrier and have them block the number.

I also got the same message, when someone picked up he said "and how are you today?" Said I will be better as soon as you remove my number. He laughed and said "you want your number removed o.k." and hung up on me. When I tried to call right back I got a recording that said the subscriber is not taking calls at this time. WTF

Got the same phone call after church today. I don't know how they got my number. I never use my cell number.

Just got one of these today. Same exact message probably.  It says:

Your $200 Walmart
Voucher! Reply STOP 2Unsub

Also received a call from this number. Took everyone's advice: ERASED.

Got the same SMS on my cell 'splat' did.  Think 'Linder' is correct, they are trying to harvest info.

Also got a text from this # on my cell phone that I barely use, and certainly never entered it on a website.  Message to call 800-571-4439 for a $200 Walmart rebate voucher.  I called (used *69 to block my number) and got no answer.  Definitely will not reply to text.  As Al above writes, they start by requesting a $4.35 processing fee.  It's got to be a scam and possibly an issue for FTC (Federal Trade Commission) to look into since this is a San Francisco area code doing business across state lines. They're probably harvesting credit card info to use and/or sell.

Received a text, same format as noted above. I haven't given my number to any website.

Received the same message as Bob above, called the number and was told that I could get my voucher for a processing fee of $4.35.  Told them where to go to find the $4.35.

I also recieved the text message like Dana, but the number my text message told me to call was 866-593-9330.
