How can one put an alert on their credit report?   I just got a call from the same guy.  THANKS

I got a call from this number saying a loan was approved and call them back to verify my bank information so that the money could be transferred to my account in 24 hours.  I never returned the call.

I have been called and cussed. I want these calls stopped.  

I just listened to the 3 messages they left.  Yeah, it's definitely a scam!

These comments are interesting.  The calls I've received are offering me a payday loan I never applied for, don't want and don't need.  I'd beware - it sounds shady.

Said I was approved for a loan up to 15000. They wanted 150 for the first months insurance. Didnt do it. I'm not stupid. It's a scam.

Advance fee loans are illegal period!

I have been looking for a loan company when this place called... I was desperate and sent them $200.00. Needless to say they never sent me any money!

They are also using 650-425-1769 as GE Money Services, stating pre-approval of an installment/payday loan up to $3K. Only problem is they want money up front via Money Pak. This is illegal in the US for loans and credit cards. This number's carrier is YMAX. YMAX is a VoIP provider, a large retailer of Majic Jack. This is how they use US numbers when they are calling from overseas. I really hate it when they try to link themselves to a reputable company like GE!!!!!!
I have gotten calls like other people have described, just from other numbers. Just remember to stay calm and don't let them scare you with the word "warrant". Just laugh!!!! Debt is a civil matter, not criminal. No judge will issue a warrant. Also a real debt collector has to send you proof of debt when requested.
Our best defense against these scams, is knowing Federal and State Laws. These scammers don't know them, and when confronted with them, they stop calling.
If you gave these people money, I hate to say it, but it's gone. You can file reports with your state's Dept. of Financial Institutions, FBI, FTC. The more reports that are filed, the better chance we have of them doing something about this. Hope someday, we can put a stop to this...........

The caller tells me they are a process server and they have an action against me.  I called the call back number they left which is to a mediation company.  I refused to confirm my SSN.  I asked for a copy of the signed loan agreement, they allege I signed,  so that I could look into the matter, they told me the Court had it.  I told him great, I'd see him in Court, I even gave him my address so they could serve me.  The "server" called me that night, confirmed my address again and I haven't heard another word.  I work for an attorney that specializes in collection matters, the callers never provided the Fair Debt Collection language, which is in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Act.  Additionally, I checked the local courts online to see if any action has been filed against me, there has not been anything filed.  The Statute of Limitations on collections matters in Califonia is 4 years, and my supposed loan is past the statute.  Also, the cost for this party to file suit against me, is more than the actual debt they claim I owe.  This is certainly a scam, by parties that take advantage of the uninformed.  Good Luck!

This guy called my work place in Texas. He says that he is looking for Ryan Gein?? He had an accent so I couldn't really make out all that he was saying. I have no idea who that is and there are no Ryan's that work here. He was telling me that he would sue me and take me to jail if I was telling him a lie. He called back 3 times asking me the same questions. We have had another group of people call up here claiming the same things but asking for a different name of one of our real workers. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS AND WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET YOUR MONEY. If they do contact you say you have a lawyer, you will contact the police about this and other calls and then contact BBB. Also, keep a close eye on your credit scores and your spouces scores. There are government sites that you can also contact to report these people and I HIGHLY suggest you do. Most of the time you say you are getting the cops involved, they will stop bugging you. Hope this helps.

I got a call from that number today. It was the same guy too. He told me the same exact thing as everybody else on here. He has my ssn and address so I put a fraud alert on my credit. He is a scam artist.

I just received a call from the same gentleman stating that US Cash Advance is sueing me and that in order to stay out of the California Court, I either need to pay him $687.39 within an hour or at least half that amount in order to stop further actions.  The guy told me that they would take actions against whomever stole my identity and I would get double my money back.  I am a disabled military retiree and so I call the base legal office and they informed me that this is not how things like this go and I am not to pay any money and I have an appointment with them on Monday that way they can start taking legal actions against this person.

I got a phone call on last Tuseday too and say that he is Bryan Kooper. he asked me to pay $380.oo. Otherwise i have to go to California Highest Court. I was worry and pai him that a mount on GreendotMoneyPack. If they are a scam how do we get those money back.??? any idea...

Both men who apparently are in 2 separate states with very similar accents are making the same claim that I have failed to pay on a loan.

yes this guy brian kooper called me too. i did apply for an online loan but didnt recieve any of them. this guy was an indian and was very rude when i asked who and why he was calling me. i finally just said *** you and hung up on him! let this idiot call me back again!

this guy just called me an idiot. i asked him if it was protocol for "lawyers" to insult someone returning their call to handle any disputes. i told him "i do not have any dealings with your client USwhatever and you could file whatever you want since I have the documentation for the company i do have business with, and that it was possible someone has stolen my identity".

He hung up right away! i am going to put an alert on my credit report pronto and alert the bbb.

They said my loan was from the same place. The man is very agressive too. I do have loans that I got online but they are being deducted from my account.

I am getting phone calls from 650-425-1769, stating I am being sued by US cash advance loans, I have never recd a loan from this company,, A Indian man answered the phone,, ask me do I have attorney, and he had the last four digits of my social.. It was a foreign guy, and I asked him who was suing me and why, and he put me on hold and never returned, he acted like I should have known about it, and should already have a lawyer. I'm going to do everything I can to report them to whoever.

They have been calling me too. Did they actually give you the loan? They didn't give me a loan, they are suing me over an application fee that my bank turned down. And I coulden't really understand the guy, but I thought he said hicksville law firm or hanksville. Either way they are scam artists.

They contacted me as well, it must from the loan I tried to get, they said they have my social security number on hold, I remember when I tried to get the loan, they stated that if I tried to contest the application fee that I would get sued, and my bank denied the fee because my account was empty. So they made my account like 150 dollars overdrawn now, and want to sue me over 15 bucks, so what they do is charge you an application fee never intending to give you a loan so they can sue you because the bank turns it down. Yeah, I received this call on my cell also and workplace phone.  I know it is a joke because the person has an Indian accent and calls himself Brian Kurber.  His name is probably really Suresh Kabab.  I want them to call me again so I can let them know I am suing them back!  Yes they have your information because when you get an online loan those companies share information with your last 4 of social security.  How else would they have your work phone also?  This has happened to me in the past and I let them have it.  Needless to say, they suddenly stop contacting me after that.

Received a call a few weeks ago that I was being sued for a loan I tookon line. Because I did in fact take loans out and the fear of being taken to court and possibly loosing my job I have been paying this off. They refuse to give me a receipt or a copy of the affidavit. They have been demanding and very agressive. They have identified themself as calling from Tinsdale lawfirm which does exist.
