This number has been calling my cell phone number and I dont know why the only connection I can make it that the comment is from Rad- perhaps Rad knows the answer

Boneheads: Utilize your caller I.D. Feature. If you don't recognize the number, don't answer the phone.

Sounds like they are an offshore call center, vetting leads for US clients. Instead of spending your day cold calling, you hire out to a third party company, and they connect confirmed contacts. I get so many of these calls, usually after attending a tech security, or CRM conference, so I always check the number before answering.

This is really odd.  I got a call from this number, it was some strong-accented person on the line. They asked for me by name. I said "yeah that's me." and then all of a sudden, I was talking to a guy from California who was returning my query about some software support.  This was a legit call in my case.  But, I don't get how it was routed.

Called asking for the president of the company but abruptly hung up while I was telling him all calls go to an assistant since he does not take cold calls.

the same caller w/ an axcent stated he was calling on behalf of John Allen. He asked to speak with the owner of the company ( full name) and when I stated that he was unavailable, he said he would call back. Each time, he calls he changes his name-this is a SCAM artist, clearly!

I recently received a call from this number.  They asked for me by my first name.  I asked what the nature of this call was and they started cutting out.  It sounded like they were hitting the mute button.  We went through a couple of rounds of "Hello, can you hear me?" and then they hung up.

I got call form this number last week. The person with accent asked about some business. he got my first name correct however wrong last name. He told him wrong number. He apologized and hung up. I think they are running some scam and may use the personal information for financial scam. I am planning to report this incident to law enforcement authority. Now i realize from last two weeks i was receiving wrong number calls form various caller that include some 800 number and one more number. I think this whole scam racket is going on and law enforcement should look in to it. If you receive such call please inform law enforcement authority about it.

Sales/phishing call from people(telemarketer?) calling businesses to gather information from "business owners".  Vague when asked simple questions such as "What is the nature of the call?" or "what is the company?" They told me it was for Exam Soft. The "boss" the were calling for was "Kathy Bailey"  Sounded unprepared for these simple questions and hurriedly tried to get off the phone with me.

I got several calls today from this number. Ali says he started working with the company yesterday, and his boss wants to set a meeting with our CEO. Says company name is Connect Sells, but he doesn't know what they do. Next time I'm going to pretend to be our CEO, and hear the pitch.

Still getting calls from this number.  This time it was Ali calling for her boss, Carl Bowen, from AdChemy.  As usual, she didn't know why he was calling.  She claimed she was a temp who started Monday and didn't even know the type of business she was working for.  I'm thinking this is a telemarketing company that other companies pay to make calls.

recieved a call asking to talk to Owner (gave their full name) was asked what it is in reference to and caller advised was only told to call Owner and did not know what it was in reference to. Caller said they were calling from Linda Zafronsky's office with Drynet, I couldn't understand what type of business he said it was. He said he would call back after finding out what he was calling for

Received call at my office, though I did not answer (caller left no vm). I work in IT.

Been receiving calls for a week and was finally around to answer, so I answered then there was a slight delay before the caller picked up and said hello.  Got my first name right, but I would not acknowledge who he was talking to.  He asked if i received the fax for computer quotes, then I started asking the questions, what is your company name - Palace Corporation, what type of industry are you in - multiple.  He then asked two more times if he was talking to the right person (only asked by first name), so I made him state the full name he was looking for and he got the last name wrong, so I told him he had the wrong number.  Also, he had an accented voice.  Thanks to this forum I was ready for this call.

Called but hung up before voice mail...

Just tried to call. Had correct first name but a different last name. Apologized and hung up.

I got a call from this number at work.  They did not leave a voice message.

I just had the exact same thing. My first name and a different last name starting with the correct first letter.

Said they were from Usability Science or something.  Asking for old employees.  Got another call from this company from a different number earlier today using the same script (calling on behalf of their boss, don't know what the nature of the company/call is, heavy accents).  Seems like a sales call and they were fishing for info.  Told them not to call again.  I pity the next telemarketer who calls me from that "company".

Called my business line asked for me by my full name then said my full name and mentioned a different company name and asked about a medical record claim number. I then just hung up on him. He had a Filipino accent and you could here a girl talking on another phone in the background.

I just got a call from this number from someone with a heavy accent asking for someone with my first name but a different last name.  Didn't say where it was from.  Then they apologized and hung up.

Asked for my name but thought I worked at Dell Corporate offices...  strange....
