I received a call from a different number... The lady that I spoke with gave me answers to every question... The thing that got me was her name.... She sounds like she just got to this country yet her name was Van Roberts... Now I looked up the company on BBB and its called casting 360 they are located in California and has an A rating.... I'm still Leary about the whole thing so when they open this morning I'm going to contact them... I will repost once I have more info.. Www.casting360.com is the website

I called a 1 877 # for My Son. He's always wanted to be in Show Business. The Lady was talking about $1.98 will get a profile page with photos We can upload Ourselves. That They guarantee Someone will contact Us within 90 days. The pay out is $300.00 a day to be an extra in a movie/film. She made sure I was The Parent when I told Her it was for My 15 year old Son but when She asked My Sons name, I just felt weird. I told Her I had to talk to My Husband and call back. I did give Her My first name and # and now I regret it. I have caller ID and She had called back twice already. I haven't answered it. Thank You to Everybody who has commented and schooled Me about this To Good To Be True Opportunity. The # that texted My Son was 1-877-798-2536.

I was skeptical of the craigslist posting, but after calling, its definitely a sham. They want you to pay upfront, albeit only $1.98, and they'll set you up with an online profile. Basically, they have no office or official number, and they just want people to pay them money. Its almost a modern version of an advanced fee fraud; give us money now and youll get much more later.

And they get right into asking for your card number, giving almost no info before you give it.

Samesies. I just called... started to give her my credit card number, then hung up. After she asked for my card number, I asked if they had a web site, she said that's what she's going to give me right after she processes my card. No thanks.

Yeah, the craigslist ad is entirely misleading and false.  It's a non-local company that wants to set you up with your own online "profile" with head shots and pictures so supposed talent agents can contact you about all sorts of extra's work.  I hung up before they started talking about charges.

The on hold messages were also extremely vague and wouldn't mention a company name or service.

Scam!

There's a craigslist ad up right now that is advertising this number as (supposedly) a talent agency looking for extras, whom they'll pay big bucks to hang out with actors and be in commercials.  The ad is worded a bit suspiciously:

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/csr/1572431222.html

I'm calling the number right now...they don't have a business name but there is definitely a long wait.
