called and hangs up called the number and it is disconnected how does that work?

I know who they are, Some government agency called Renewal Energy, call this  number and say put me on your Do Not List, 877-593-2995, finally spoke to a person named Jerrold C. What a joke, so annoying

This is a robocalling telemarketer calling itself National Renewable Energy Center, located in Van Nuys, CA. They belong to a collection of  related telemarketing and Solar companies (see callcenter.com info on this). They are telemarketing for A1 Solar in Van Nuys, CA. They call 5-8 times a day, ignoring the Do Not Call list, using many different fake (spoofed) numbers. They use vague verbiage to claim  that they are working with  regional utility PG&E, promoting "energy audits."  They are flaunting the federal DO Not Call regulations.  Complain to the FCC as well as your local utility company, whom they claim to be partnering with. You can also complain to the California State Contractor's Licensing Board about A1 Solar. You can also locate a law firm that might be interesting in a civil suit, or complain each time them call to the FCC (FCC.gov). You can also complain to the California State Attorney General's Office.

Calling 7 or 8 times a day. Does not leave message. I tried redial one as I was so tired of all these calls. Said the number was disconnected.

Calls nonstop. All hours of the day. No idea what company.

Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
Try these alternatives:

1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after 3 rings.

2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

3.  If your cel is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

4.  Google NoMoRobo, and visit their site, to see if your phone system is compatible with that system.  (It may or may not be compatible).

5.  Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

6.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "Amazon phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon has to offer for landlines or smartphones. Similar devices are for sale on eBay and other online stores.

Im so sick of these phone calls, I get them often and early and late ... enough already

This number has called repeatedly. Does not leave a message. Someone finally came on when I answered today, big pause before the person spoke and I asked to be removed from the calling list. My number is on the do not call registry.

These people are just stupid.  What a waste of everyone's time.  They have called twice since I told them I wasn't interested.  Don't these people have anything else to do in life?  Maybe some jail time would be good.
