I also got the barter text message. Said I needed a plugin... and the plugin is Gimp Host which downloads a nasty .exe trojan.

You would think phone company could block scammers like that.

i just recieved a text asking me to go to a web address also, she was asking if the picture is like the bike im selling on craigs list..

I was wondering what happened when you went to the link on your phone? I did this as well but never downloaded the viewer on my phone or computer.

i also had an ad on craigslist if you down loaded that fake gimp you now have pretty pad rootkits and this guy now has full access to you crap jtlyk

Got a call from this scammer...

Same as reports above.  Placed a wanted ad.  Had an image viewer download on the link.  I unfortunately clicked on the link on my Iphone, but could not view anything.  Checked it out on the desktop, but did not download the viewer.  A***ole.

I also had a "wanted" ad on Craigslist and received a text with this number and a link to view the image after downloading some program.

This is a auto response spam text. Do not reply to it it will add your number to text messages you don't want.

Sent a text messsage in response to a "wanted" Craigslist ad. There was a link to check out the image, however you need to download a program to view the GMP files from a desktop. I didn't download anything and neither should you.

Yup, I did too, with a hyperlink embedded. Not gonna click on that.
