Recived calls from 651-288-2865 every day for two weeks. Never leave a message and I don't answer unknown numbers

Adendum to my rior posts.
I just called the Fresno Bee and they informed me that this  651-288-2865 is a legit outside company that they have contracted with to call to solicite for donations. I told The Bee that I do not give any information to Out of Area listings or or any solicited phone calls period. I figure if they really want people to donate they will include the information with my bill when they send it through the US mail and not by a telemarketing company.

Correction to my prior post. Caller ID said Out of Area not Fresno Bee. Caller claimed he was from The Fresno Bee

Received call from 651-288-2865. Told me he was from The Fresno Bee and wanted me to do a one time contribution to a charity. I told him my caller ID gave an outside area code and Out of Area for name. He told me "they" represent 40 different newspapers and are contracted by them to call for contributions. He appeared to have my account information as he knew my name and my apparant newspaper billing statement.

Caller wanted me to renew newspaper subscription two weeks early and they would contribute $10 to some charity.  Problem is we are in California and 651 area code is in Minnisota and my subscription not up until next March

I dont answer unknown calls but this number calls on a daily basis and never leaves a message
