Hi - I also received an eFax message from this number on Feb 10th.  Just now received another from 513-980-3082 that says the message was sent on Sept 12, 2013.  My junk filter caught both of them.

I received this email today in my junk email: " eFax message from 1-651-290-2266  1 page(s) Caller ID:  651-290-2266". I did delete it. About a week ago, I got a similar email in my inbox. It looked suspicious, so I consulted a friend, who said it was a virus. I marked it as spam, and deleted.

Was so sure this was a scam, but this is my work/personal email address this seems by the other posts that are listed that this is a whole new way to scam people.  So glad I didn't open it.

Received an email today.  eFax message from 1-651-290-2266  1 page(s) Caller ID:  651-290-2266

Received a e-mail that I had a one page fax from this number dated today at 05:30:20 CDT.  Googled it and found the number belonged to a whole host of agencies.  Obviously a scam.  Will report it to my carrier tonight when I get home.  Little good that will do.

This is a virus.  Do NOT open the file.  If you're using an email service that will analyze spam messages (like GMail) to update their filters make sure to report this email as spam/scam.

I too got an eFax request from this number this morning.  It comes through as a .zip file pretty sure a 1 page FAX doesn't need to be zipped.

Received an email saying that I had a fax to open from this phone number.  Since I seldom get faxes from anyone unless I'm specifically expecting one, I checked the number through other web sources and found out that this number is listed to about a dozen differently named "agencies" (including the Minnesota Pharmacists Association and the Minnesota Accountants Association) obviously all of them fake.  It's a scammer!
