Got a call from this number today.  Identified my car and said my warranty has expired.  I said "That cannot be possible as my car is still on factory warranty until 2016".  Called me a b****, said GM was going to rob me and hung up. Scam scam scam!

I just got this call on my cell phone. I told him I didn't have a car since I rode a horse to and from work every day. No air pollution and runs on oats, not gas. He said something nasty and hung up.

I've had the same experience as those listed above.  I have entered this number into my contacts list as Junk Scam so I'm not tempted to answer if it rings again.

We have had 4 calls in 2 weeks from different numbers but all showing local area code and caller ID says out of area. I answered 1 of them because I was expecting a call and it turned out to be scam offering extended warranty on our Toyota. They knew our name and model of our vehicle. Guy wanted to know mileage on vehicle and I hung up on him. Can't block the numbers because they are always different and no one is reporting calls from these numbers so they are hiding their numbers. How to deal with it? Answer and say don't call again or lie and say you don't own vehicle anymore - wrecked it last week?  Got a call tonight with local area code and out of area. I didn't answer and traced it. One hit showed number being used last year by a local politician for campaign fund raising. She was elected and I can't imagine they would still be using that number.

F*** this number frickin called and said that they were going to rob us.

Received two calls from this # today.  Seems local (Minnesota) ... no voicemail, so I only imagine it's a telemarketr or scam artist.

Caller showed up as Unknown Name on caller ID with this number.  Rang twice and they didn't leave a message.

I was called by this number as well today.  Didn't recognize it, so let it go to voice mail.  This number called again but both times did not leave a message.  I then decided to look this number up on the internet and found your site.  It definitely is no a legitamite operation that is for sure!!!

Just got a call from this number telling me that the warranty on my Mercury was probably expired, and did I know the mileage on the car.  I said there was no way I was buying a third party extended warranty from her today, to which she replied, "You sound gay."  Can't imagine they sell too many warranties with that kind of sales pitch, but the call was clearly annoying.

I was called by this number today. The man on the line (who did not have an accent) identified my vehicle and then asked for the number of miles on my car. When I told him that I wasn't near the car and that I wasn't the main owner, he said "Okay" and then hung up. The end.

Got a call for extending auto warranty - answered since it appeared local.
Apparently, it's the last chance since we have not been responding to letters offering extended warranty!
We are dealing directly with our extended warranty providers, and so knew instantly that this is something fishy. Got disconnected while transferring.
Glad I checked here... Now we know for sure it's some scammer...

"Cameron" was calling from Auto Department (at least that is the recording u get when you call back) saying my coverage for vehicle I have never owned was past the coverage period...at which time I told him that I had no idea what he is talking about and he hung up on me

Caller called twice on two different cars we own! They asked if we still owned them because they needed to update our information, I told them that information gets done at the license bureau and is none of their business.

This is one of those SCAM EXTENDED VEHICLE WARRANTY outfits that's actually operating from overseas even though the number is spoofed and appears to be from your local area.  DO NOT give them any information about your car or yourself.  They are not legit  Again, it is a scam.  They want your credit card number or bank account info.  There is no REAL vehicle warranty.
If you ever think you need to buy an extended warranty on your vehicle, buy it ONLY from your vehicle's manufacturer.

Received a call this afternoon from this phone number.  He immediately asked if I owned my vehicle, which I took in for a recalled part replacement just yesterday. I told him that, yes, that is my vehicle. The guy on the phone had an accent and mumbled something about my warranty and asked how many miles are on my car.  I told him I didn't know.  He was pushy, asked again.  Again, I told him I did not know, asked why he needed the information?  He hung up on me.  Quite rude, and I'm thinking it's more of a scam of some sort and less of a telemarketing thing.

4/29/13  4:15pm - Second random call today.  Robo bleep on answering machine.

4/16/13 6PM - first time they called - same random robo bleep upon hangup.

I just got a call from this number today. Wasn't home. They left no number, but Call ID comes up as MRN N St Crx????

This number just called me and when I said Hello, No one answered me...I hung up..The number came up as Unknown Name...

I just got the same call, only they hung up on me when I asked what company they were from.

They called asking for someone who could make decisions regarding our vehicle.  When questioned, the caller muttered something and hung up.

answered phone and caller did not say anything.  After about 10 seconds of silence caller hung up.

4/16/2013 - Hides behind unknown caller.  Be proud and identify yourself if you want someone to say Hello.  Calls at dinner time are always a telemarketer.

Called & asked for -----, I said " this ------ and they hung up.

Called, wife answered, asked for me, wife asked, whom may I ask is calling, caller hung up.

Same thing -- they called and left no message.

Brian, you did the right thing. They get auto ownership info from R.L.Polk, then try to sell you a warranty. GM itself doesn't operate like that; they know you'd rather get a warranty from GM than from these fakes. When they called me I was gone and they left no message. But I get official looking mail and it turns out to be someone peddling a car warranty.

Called from what sounded like a call center (boiler room) said they were calling about about extending a warranty on a 2011 vehicle (which I do own) I asked if they were with GMC, they hesitated, then said yes, but further tried to clean it up with a BS sounding explanation They then asked if I knew how many miles I had on the vehicle, to which I responded with a single word reply of 'yes'. After a few seconds of silence, they asked if I would tell them how many miles, to which I replied 'why should I tell you' they then uttered an expletive and hung up on me.
