They look up people's name on Google and call business that remotely have names connected with people & businesses.  They called our business interogating about someone we have never had work here in teh 11 years we have been open--not even the sme last name.  UGH  Peter Teal was his name

Called our place of business office - asking for, by name, a former employee.  Told the gentleman that person no longer was employed here ... no problem.  I could hear him typing on computer, he politely said 'Thank you' and hung up.

I received a call asking me if I was the grandparent of these children next door If I was related to them and how come I did not know my own grand children..the caller (Peter) mentioned my son's name and his wife's name and the city they live in etc...and because this was true and it should also be true that I was related with these people next door...the house number Peter was giving was not even in existence. I called back 1-651-621-2815 Peter answered and I told him I was about to call the Police and he apologized for bothering me and he said he was not going to call here again

he bothers the pepple at my office. i work construction and am always in the field. he tells them that i tried to call him and acts like he's a friend of mine so my work gave them my work number. they said his name is pete teil .  i do not know anyone by this name. but another 651 # contacted my wife's ex- husband how they put 2 & 2 together i don't know my wife and I have been together for 20 yrs. anyway he's sounds like and a**.

Several calls to my # ... did not pick up for several days.  I got sick of the calls to I picked up.  Turns out I forgot about personal matters, and they were able to fix it for me.  I am lucky I picked up the call when I did or else it would have been to late!!!!

I give advice to anyone on here.  I never hurts to pick up a call, you can always hang up.  Its funny some of the people on here trying to find out what this is- pick up the phone and talk to them:)

These are great people and they were able to help me out of my situation that I created!

They call all times of the day asking using our first names like they know us.  Our names are NOT listed in the phone book.  They ask us if we know our neighbors.  They have called at late at 9pm. We have told them several times not to call here again.  They still continue.

Received several call from this number, I called them back after 2 attempts I got through.......Glad I made the call!

I thought there were trying to sell me somthing, and that was not the case. They helped me out of my situation!

I would have never talked to these people if it was not for my attoney. My Attorney said that he/and almost his entire Firm has worked with this company many times, and he ensured me that they are the real deal and to work with them.  I am a very skeptical person, so I turn for advice and it went along way.  Thanks for all of the advise guys!!!!

My only regert is not talking to this company sooner it could have saved me alot!!!!!

Actually Mike it is perfectly legal for them to contact relatives, former relatives, friends, neighbors, etc. as long as they do not mention anything about you owing them money. And I believe they are not allowed to call anyone (besides yourself and maybe your spouse) more than once. They may also call you at work unless you let them know in writing that they mat NOT.

It is also illegal for them to threaten or imply legal action unless they actually intend on doing so. Ditto for threatening jail time, etc. They may not use abusive language toward you, either.

You CAN write them a letter stating that it is inconvenient for them to call you any time, at any number, regarding this debt. (They will still be able to contact you through the mail.)

Best thing to do, if it is legitimately your debt, is to pay. That's the only thing that will get the phone calls and letters to stop, and prevent a possible lawsuit. (If it's not your debt, you may dispute it.) Even sending them a dollar every month will stop the calls.

I too received calls from this number? wounder what it is about, it sounded important.

Thanks I could not have done this with out your help! I have be trying to fed my family and put my kids through school. But with your knowledge of how the industry works I was able to get everyting taken care of.  I dont care what these people say about you. I will admit that you come off alittle strong but it just shows me that you really care.

He is a debt collector and it is illegal for him to contact your family and act like that He did the same to me the debt is not mine it is my girlfriends and I have nothing to do with it and he my dads work trying to get a hold of me but if you look up the laws it is illegal for him to call your family they just bank on you not looking into it and getting afraid the sol purpose of these guys is to scar you DO NOT PROMISE ANYTHING! until you research what he says first HE will threaten jail huge fines and scars on credit report for ten years This is all a ploy to get you to act rash take your time and DO YOUR RESEARCH they are not allowed to harass you like that

some RUDE guy called for my ex husband, X of almost 15 years!!!!! and also called my daughter looking for him, how in the world he got our numbers I have no clue! he left a rude message that I MUST call him back by 6 pm today if I can't get the message to my x. my daughter has a new last name, and an unlisted number. I tried to call both numbers back, and no answer!~

I got a call from this number too (651-621-2815) on 1/21/09 at 9:23 am est. I didn't answer it and it left no message.
