Please take me off your call list no messages have ever been left but I get several calls per week

Phone 651.748.0400 belongs to Lupus MN Pickup according to my caller ID. These annoying people will continually call you regardless if you have asked them to remove your phone number and stop calling you. I have since purchased a phone that blocks callers, and believe me, they have been blocked!

Charity Pick-up!  I received at least 2 calls a day for years.  Done asking to please stop calling, done blocking number only to find they call with another.... filing complaint with FCC

I HAVE REQUESTED THEM TO REMOVE MY NAME FROM THEIR CALLING LIST, DOESN'T DO ANY GOOD!!  MY PHONE ID SAYS CHARITY PICK-UP.  THIS HAS GONE ON FOR 2 YEARS, AT LEAST 3 TIMES A DAY.

This number (651-748-0400) comes up on my caller ID (home phone) about once a day. When the caller is not identified, I don't answer. I figure if it is important, they can leave a message and if they do start leaving a message I can choose to or not to pick it up. Tonight I looked up the number online and found it to be the Lupus Foundation located in Little Canada, MN. I called them back from my cell phone (with my number blocked) and said I was getting calls from this number, they aren't leaving a message, they aren't identifying themselves and to remove my home number from their list. I gave them the number and I was told it would be removed within 48 hours.

To everyone when they call you just say that you have requested to fet removed nd they keep calling tell thim you will report thm.

I've donated a couple times but stopped after about 3 calls a wk, like I have that much crap to give away! AND I have lupus myself + have asked 1x nicely to stop calling then 2 additional times firmly and they say yeah ok we'll remove your #, I think it stopped for a few wks then on again. They are giving those who frticken suffer from lupus a negative connotation + those who once donated to them now do so elsewhere including me, its crap, I'm tired, sore + in pain + I often fall to answer the phone to find out its another lupus call mostly @ 8 or 9pm when I'm in bed. Its not right and I don't care if they are a charitable service, they are now causing more harm, stress + disturbance.

I work for this present company and have some helpful info to share

1.Removal- If you really wish to be remove just say you have asked multiple times to be removed is your best bet.

2.Multiple Charrites- we do call for many charites and if there are more then one in ur are I.E. vva lfa uwvc in nj they have many routes and do intercect sometimes so u may get contacted more then once. Just rinse and repeat step 1

3.Dnc- we do not sell items or ask for money on the phone therefore the dnc list/registerey does not apply to us.

4-Delays- I formally apologize to all no answers. Some times its tech issues sometimes it mistake or human error. We are trained to not leave vm and also are to dispo the sec we hear a vm pop on once again sorry it happens

5-in my defense- yes I have a job were I annoy most of u yes u may thing I'm scum cause of what I do but reality is I have kids to feend a house to pay for etc its one of the highst paid jobs here so I do it look at it this way I talk to tons of people on the phones a day and u would be suprised how many geown men and women at the line saying they can't say if they do or don't have have donations cause thiee parents ain't home my taxes pay for thir unemployment and many other things so please we are people also on the other line trying to get by like u and a little kindness with us does go along way hope this helps peace love people we are in it together

I too have received many calls, AND have requested MANY times to be removed. I called the number back, and asked to speak to Supervisor....Andrew was his name...promised to remove my number again. We will see....

Lupus calls me non stop every month. Have asked them to stop calling me and remove my number from their list. It does no good.

Woke me up at 2:30am!  Will never donate to them again!  From now on, I'll call charities directly to make donations.

block the number on your phone. It should ring only once and then cut them off. I have gotten rid of 40+ annoying callers with this system.

Please add my number to your do not call list (651-653-0166).  It's so annoying to keep getting their phone calls and they hang up.

Calls came 1/2 hour apart late on Sunday evening. Luckily, I had blocked the calls some time ago. Why don't they just take my number off their call list?

Update. On 6/15/09 I spoke with a manager there who assured me they would take me off their call list. They called again Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, when I called them back and promised a trip to Burnsville to their offices and a rock thru their window if they called me again. I also promised reporting them to the FCC and Attorney General's office. You can complain with online forms. Go to FCC and follow the links. You can also complain with a form to the Atty general's office but that form needs to be mailed. It can be completed online or printed out then filled in. Either way, it needs a stamp.Maybe if enough of us complain, it will finally do some good????

They have called several times and I have asked them not to call, and that I was on the do not call list. I told the woman my husband works odd hours and is ussually sleeping during the day. They told me they are a charity and don't have to follow the do not call list. Oh OK I guess if you annoy me I will indeed give you money. I am getting very annoyed and may just look up some key board members and call them about the same time my dear hubby is getting home from work!

651-748-0400 is a number for the Lupus Foundation.  I have filed a complaint against them with the FCC because they continually call my home, and then when one answers, no one talks.  Before I used to ignore the calls when caller ID id'ed the caller as Lupus Foundation, but now they're blocking that.  Little smarties, they don't know that they're a NPO and have to list their number somewhere--all it took was Google.

Idiots.  No wonder I donate to the Salvation Army--at least they talk when I answer the phone.

A follow-up from my previous complain...
Not only do thes people call incessantly, but today they picked up goods I had set out for the Vietnam Vets of America. I am incensed and appalled.  Two of the bags I set out were marked as VVA bags (the kind you get in the mail all the time).  I don't answer these calls and haven't donated to them for at least 3 yrs because they won't leave me alone.  

They now are trying to locate my donated goods to return them.  They admitted my home wasn't on their route.  So why did they snatch my donation?  How messed up is this?

I get this call daily.  Drives me nuts.  My cousin is also pestered daily by them.  Thanks for the e-mail address of the Lupus Foundation.  I sent them an e-mail -see if it does any good.

if you have comcast im not sure you can block it or no
if they call you simply answer and hang up.....

I unfortunatly work for the company that does all the calling for lupus of minasota.  it pisses me off to no end that when these people ask to get removed nicely we just spout off a script and hit not interested so they can just get called again in 4 to 6 weeks.  hanging up does no good then you just get called back in a day or 2 tell them your not interested and you get to wait a few weeks till you get called again.  but the way to get them to remove you is tell them you want to speak with a manager and then say you will write a letter to the state atorney general if they call you again.  my company is scared shitless of of the minesota AG they will remove you from the list.  they have been fined a few times already. i hope this helps you guys out.  and please dont be dicks to the people on the phone they all think like i do and hate not being able to remove the people that dont want to be called they are only doing it because it is a job and todays economy doesnt give much choices.  and definitely dont mention you saw this hear.

Yes....this is the number to Charity Pickup aka The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota. They also have an office in Denver, CO as well and their poor residences are harassed as well. The Lupus Foundation is located in Bloomington at the address seen elsewhere in this blog, but the phone calls are coming from Saint Paul at their Charity Pickup warehouse located at 3080 Centerville Rd, St. Paul, Mn 55117, tel: 651-748-0400.
Non-profit organizations do not have to follow the rules of the Do-Not-Call list but they do have to abide by requests to remove you from their list. This request needs to be in writing as verbal communication is unacceptable, nor binding. My suggestion would be to send a letter via certified mail so you have a record of them receiving it. This would give you the record you would need if you filed a complaint with the state attorney's office. Your phone records from your phone company would be the other evidence needed to file a complaint. Just complaining to the state attorney's office doesn't give your complaint any teeth, nor can their office do much without your records of evidence.
   Each incident, yes....thats right....each incident has a fine of $ 10,000, so every phone call after the fact of notice could be assessed a fine of $ 10,000 according to the Do-Not Call list regulations.

So....if you really have had enough......fight back with a bite, not just barking...!!

According to the web, the Lupus Fdn. President is Sandra C. Raymond.  Her phone number is listed on White Pages.  Maybe we should give her a call...

I don't usually answer the phone but I received a lot of missed calls from this number.
