I too, was contacted by the gentleman (he gave his name as Williams Donald, of California) on April 5, 2013, about my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. He contacted me roughly an hour after I posted it on the Altoona-Johnstown thread on Craigslist. I was wondering why he would want it if he lives in the Anaheim area. Especially after I looked into PA to CA shipping. Shipping was over $1000 for a $3000 car. He was insistent on paying through PayPal. After talking with him for two days and doing a good bit of homework, I've realized that it likely is a scam. IF YOU RECEIVE A REQUEST FROM (657) - 200 - 5833, DO NOT ACCEPT IT!!!

I posted a CL ad to sell my car. They wanted to buy it but pay me through PayPal. I had a feeling it was a scam when I saw the number since it wasn't it the Pittsburgh region. Told them we would only accept cash or bank check. Haven't heard anything else. SCAMMERS!!

Received a response to an advertisment... wanted me to text this number .. DID NOT DO IT.. not even local to my area.
