I also got this message however we did recently purchase something from Best Buy (new oven). So while I'm usually skeptical, I thought it was legit! Then a friend of mine told me he got it too and he hadn't purchased anything... so I never clicked on the link.

Just got a text with the same message. I haven't bought anything from a Best Buy in probably about 3 years. And I don't even have a smart phone to go on their website.

I also received this message. I had signed up for texts through my local mall, which a Best Buy is part of. Though I hadn't made any recent purchases from Best Buy, I thought maybe it was something related to the text notifications through the mall. Curious, I clicked it... It had most of my information already. I'm very scared as I have had my identity stolen once before, which we never found out what the cause was. It's sad that in this day and age there isn't more protection on our own personal information..

I received the same msg....haven't made a purchase there and haven't used my phone to surf their website either. Feel this is a possible fishing scam or possibly some sort of way to get info from your phone.

So far I've gotten 2 text messages supposedly thanking me for my recent purchase at Best Buy and offering me a "chance" at a $1000 gift card at www.myfreeoffersite.com/bb. I haven't been in a Best Buy for years so this can't be legitimate.
