Same thing here.. said "Hola, <my name>. I don't know anyone who would say "hola" let alone from CA. Didn't bother responding, as I found this site and could tell they are fishing for more information or it's a scam.

Just got a random text with "hi Sherri?" I wrote back Who is this. To which they replied haha if you want to know you have to add me on Y messenger textigirl66. I knew immediately it was someone I didn't know. I searched online and found this thread. Ugh what is wrong with people!

Yep, I got it too. Then they told me in order to find out who it is, to add them to Yahoo Instant Messenger, which I haven't used in years. YeahN CREEPY!!! Their text was "Hola Amy.."

yeah... weird! "hello Laura!!!" -- and that's it.... when I tried to call the number I got a recording??? Something about I've reached someone's texting number and if I want more information, blah blah blah.... spooky.
Went on my cellphone website and blocked the number from contacting me again.
