I got a call from the same man but he goes by the name of David Gram now second time he call today 11-9-2012 as soon as I call him David Lowe  he said well you enjoy being taken by Dish and hung up . Thank You for posting what you did bobfmdc you save me .

Excellent response to a sales call from "Unknown!"  I received a call from this number a couple times and responded the same (and I *DID* write a complaint at DoNotCall.gov).

The first time I simply had to ask the soon-to-be-speechless caller, "Would you buy satellite service from somebody listed as 'Unknown Caller'?"  And finished with, "I didn't think so," before I said I'd be reporting them and then hung up.

Sure wish I was seeing a more significant difference since the DoNotCall.gov registry began!

They have called twice- both times in the late afternoon. We did not pick up, however no message was left either call.

Same thing, a hang up as soon as I answer.  I have worked for a telecom Co. & a company that makes sales calls... The odd thing is that if it was a Sales Call, then all of those reporting this problem here would be liked to a missed sales opportunity.  It seems like a high number of missed sales due to call hang-ups at the expense of a poorly run business process.  

I have had a similar uptick on calls from Portland, Oregon doing the same thing...  Coincidence?

This is indeed one of the people at Dish Network. Give them a call. Be more polite than they are.

Typical phone scammer. I filed a complaint at donotcall.gov and put the number on call block. There is still room in jails for these criminals and the fines are still high.

I don't want calls from this party again!

I've had 2 calls from this number, about 3 days apart. No one answers but I can hear noise in the background. Shows up as unknown number on my caller id. I'm already on a no-call list so this one is strange.

Same here - they called last night after 6pm.  Answered after 2nd ring - I said hello twice - no answer - I hung up.

Caller ID said "name not found".  Answered and they hung up.  Idiots.

I got a call from this number this afternoon, my fax machine handled it very nicely.

Phone rang, and when I answered, it hung up. This
acts just like a "charitable" organizatiuon that was calling me, using a phone dialing service. I was told that the computer calls your number, and if there is not a corker in the call center that is ready to try to sell you something, or ask for a donation, the computer automatically hangs up. I find this very annoying, and it is very rude. I wil never give anything to any group that uses these tactics.  My phone company suggested blocking all the 657-714-XXXX numbers, because the companies often have multiple extensions.

Just received a call from that number and the caller immediately hung up on me.  Very frustrating and annoying!

I tried calling it back and it says its not working..Hmmmmmm guess I will block this number to.

I have just reported this number and company to the FCC. We get a call daily, as noted on caller ID. When we pick up the phone, the person hangs up. It is impossible to reach DISH Network customer service. What a cluster, they just keep providing sales department numbers. Why would I ever buy their crappy service?

Caller ID said "Unknown Name". When I answered, a cheery voice identified herself as so-and-so from some satellite company and asked how I was today. I said PO'd and asked if they always ignore do-not-call lists. She said not always but she'd add ours. I said they shouldn't have to because we are on the national do not call list and their number is being reported. Silence -- not sure if she hung up or what.

UNkown caller. Nuisance

Wasn't home, but this was the second of this type call in one day. I won't be answering if they call again. I just consider an "ops check" on my phone to see if it's still working :)

It was from a Dish Satellite company from California, said they had a company in our area.

We are on the no call list and we still get phone calls all the time from telemarketers. I don't like it !

I called them back and I get a busy signal.

Call was  from Dish network.

It may be trolling phone numbers looking for a computer as in the movie "War Games"
