People from 657-777-2102 have been calling several of my family members threatning to file papers with the court if I don't pay a debt.  I don't have any debt.  We're stricly cash in our house. Funny how they haven't called me.  What a scam.

The company is called EPG.  Some kind of litigation company.

Its a scam and it has shown up in several other threads.

They are trying to collect on a fake debt.  The call the other people in your life to shame you into paying the debt or to scare them into paying it for you. The debt isn't real.  Don't pay it. Tell your relatives and friends to not pay it.

Today they reached my ex- wife and threw out a name from 25 years ago that was looking for me with the same spiel. Have no idea what is going on! It sure made my ex-wife curious. Does anyone know what this is about?

My mother, brother and sister'n'law and a friend have for the past two days received calls from persons having legal papers that needed to be served and that an address needed to be verified and or the clerks office was going to be notified.  All of my family were abusively spoken to and one even went so far as to tell my mother that she was going to be served papers if she did not cooperate!    The previous number used, on day one, was a toll free number 888-980-6019.

My husband, my in-law's, and I all received a call yesterday from a guy from this number claiming he had legal documents for someone that we are not affiliated with. I hung up on him and then he called back (both from unknown numbers). My husband wrote down the info he was told to and I got this phone number from the message the guy left on my in-laws' answering machine. How ridiculous.

I received a call several times within the last week. A Woman leaves a voicemail to call back with a legal case number.  She called again and I was able to speak to her she said that it was about some Legal documents that were send to my address but they were returned and in order to get them to me, they need me to update my records to be re send. I refused and hang up the phone then she called several more times and I just did not answered.

I received a voice mail to my cellphone from a "private" number. The woman on the voice mail stated she was from the county clerk's office, and left this number for me to call back, about "legal documents that were to be served", and if no reply was received the documents would be served to my home address.  I called the number back, and she gave me an address that was different from mine. I told her it was wrong, she said thanks and hung up.
