Same as everyone above, "Roger Hansen, has an important tax matter to discuss".  His number came up as a DC number (202) 599-8456, but the call back number was this one.

I got the same call from the deep-voiced Roger. I called back a couple of times using *67 and just to see who it was. They answered "CSIR, this is Mark." I called back again WITHOUT the *67 to tell them to stop calling me and they asked if I was Curtis XXXXX. I said, "Yes." They said, "We are sending you a 1099-C. Thank You." So they were representing a debt collector from an old debt that had been written off. I guess I shouldn't have called back without the *67.

Thanks for looking out for my 'best interests,' deep-voiced man. I can always trust the deep-voiced man who sounds like he's using some kind of voice changer! I gave him all my Social Security numbers, bank accounts, credit cards, and never looked back! ... JUST KIDDING. DO NOT DO THIS. THIS GUY IS A CRIMINAL. WANTS ME TO CALL HIM AT 657-999-6075. REPORTED TO FTC... SO SHOULD YOU DO THE SAME.

You can report them.  Contact the Federal Trade Commission, BBB, and the Attorney General's Office in your state.

You can report this to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) via their website.  You can also report it your state Attorney General.  All you will need to provide is the name, phone number and type of call; in this case "false collection calls." Oh Yes, and you can file a complaint with the BBB.

I just received a call from the same number.  The name changed during the message from "Brad Hansen" to "Roger Hansen"....what an idiot!  If you are going to make a career out of phone scamming at least be good at it!

I received the same calls... it's the same guy who called me repeatedly 6 months ago regarding an "urgent legal matter".  I filed a complaint to the FFC and he stopped calling.  Now I've filed another complaint so hopefully he'll go away again.  PS- if you call him back, it goes to voicemail saying "thanks for calling corporate"  no identifying information at all.  Don't fall for this scam, delete, block, ignore.

received a message from this number as well, with the same contents:  tax matter...

"Yeah, like I take legal advice from some deep-throated idiot who doesn't identify himself on the phone." If you've got a subpoena, here I am. Put your money where your mouth is. Otherwise, you know where you can stick your "best interests."

Whoo, I'm going to file a whole bunch of complaints now!

Getting these same calls and just found out they have called relatives who are out of state telling them it's about a debt. One of these relatives is ill and does not need this stress! Have no idea who these people are but they are violating FDCPA big time now. In the messages they do not identify the company they are calling from. To the posters who say they are calling from CSIR--are the callers saying that or where is that infor coming from?

Gotten 2 calls from this number and now one from a blocked number. Answered the blocked number an they told me I was being investigated and a private investigator was coming to serve me court papers.  When I asked who it was and the matter of the investigation I wa refused information and given a 800 number to call

Roger called about a tax matter. Before tax season there were 2 other guys calling with similar harassment but it was the same phone #. I wish I had THEIR home phone #'s

I received the same message today from that phone number. It's something different almost everything month with these hackers.

Got message on my answering machine--the guy talked so fast I had to listen to it several times to get the info. checked here and saw others getting the same call with same message.  WhoCalls Me--you rock! Thanks to info I find here I can figure out who these creeps are!

Had similar harrassing (even worse) phone calls from another telemarketer.  Just report him to FTC like I'm doing.

I just got this phone call and thanks to everyone who posted I now know this is some type of scam. I suspected this much because he did not identify who he represented and did not say what tax matter it concerned. Thanks to the Internet and people like those who posted, scammers beware!!

Same message about an important tax matter.

Just received a call from this number, he left a message saying this is Brad Johanson, this is an important tax matter, blah blah blah....hate telemarketers

Person used extreme profanity and threats.  Brought up urgent tax matter but would not say who he represented, what organization he was calling from or what the purpose of his call was.  Very threatening.

This was like the calss i am reading here. This to me was a treating call scared my wife and do not owe money to anyone.
