This f****n idiot calls me literally everyday thay i know his ezaxt script. He says hi this is joe the f****n fuckinfaggot from family protecrion how are you doi ng today? Pauses. Good. Would u be interested in a free wireless protection on ur residencxe I. Exchannge for a small sign in ur front yard? I said hell ya I would but I live In an apartment. Then he says may I speak with the llandlord? I'm like what the f***?? Go f****n call the landlord. I say I don't have his contact don't evem know who he is. And he says ok I see your busy ill call you again to speak with ur landlord. Then Imediately hanga up. Callback is a walmart or taeget free 100 $ gift card but it obviously is some type of spamscam b***s***.

I answered and i gave my adress and name as soon as they said debit card info I hung up.. Can they still do something with my adress??

These mofos call me all day and I don't answer because I am at work. I was going to call this number to find out who it was, now I know, thanks to reading these many posts.

I have been getting calls from this number for the past month or so, but it's been getting worse lately.  They are up to 6 times roughly each day.  Most of the time they hang up before I even would have a chance to answer.  It's been awhile since I've actually answered it, so I forget what they are calling about, but it's an automated message.

They have called 17 times in the last two days. I just checked the caller id list!

This number has called my cell 2-3 times a day for the last week. Once at 10:30pm! I didn't answer and no messages left. I finally answered and it was a guy who started with, "this is the family protective services". When I repeated the phrase questioningly, the answer was something about them needing homes in my area to advertise from...it was during this response it was made apparent that this was a recording. I hung up. They called back less than an hour later! I answered with an angry, "hello?"..they hung up. I don't even understand their "reason" for the call...I read this number was related to a cruise scam earlier...guess they changed their angle.

Have received multiple calls from 661-228-4501 on my cell in the last 10 days (Joe from Family Protection who will give free installation of an alarm system if I put a sign in my yard).  First two times I requested (and followed up with a text) not to call back, and informed him that I'm on Do-Not-Call list.  After call today, reported to FCC as suggested by Chris.

free vacation trip

Received call from 661-228-4501.  Caller ID shows Lancaster, CA. but customer service rep says they are located in Georgia.  I have received many calls from this company, and have requested that my number be placed on their Do Not Call list.  They just call from a different phone number.  They have a Facebook page.  Sidetick.TV

The message I received was $100 Walmart or Target gift card. When I told them I wanted to be permanently removed from their call list, they hung up. What a great place -- ha ha.

Receive 4 to 5 calls aday from them trying to give a $100 gift card from walmart.  I have repeatedly asked DO NOT CALL me and they continue and they have not an option out when calling the number back.  I have started recording all conversations and now they are telephone harassment.  I have reported to the local authorities !!

I have been called 4 times in the past 25 hours.  I called the number back, was told to press 1 to receive a $100 gift card to Walmart or Target.  I did and  waited several minutes on hold (with music).  Woman then said something to the effect of "You want to receive a $100 gift card to Walmart or Target."  I told her NO and I had been called 4 times in the past 2 days and do not want to hear from them again as I am on the Do Not Call List.  About 10 minutes later, I was called again, answered quickly but they had hung up - harassment.

I just got a call from Joe from family protection services who offered to put a free wireless security system in my home if I put a sign in my front  yard. I told him I do not have a front yard. He then kept trying to verify that I own my home, which I would not do. Then he hung up.

Keeps calling me...multiple calls today. Every time I answer, it hangs up immedialy. Same thing when I try to call the number. Got sick of them and reported it to the FCC today, I suggest everyone else do the same. http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

Cruises are very romantic, just need to book them through a legitimate travel agent or the cruise company directly.  Make sure you get a frequent cruiser card.  I have done 8 cruises, my next one is 50% off and 2 upgrades, think I will do the Panama Canal.

I got a call from this number offering a $100 Walmart or Target gift card. I knew it was a scam because you don't get something for nothing! However, I called the number back several times from my cell phone because it showed up as a California number. My debit card info had been used by a thief in California a few days prior to this phone call. Of course, we canceled the card and I got my money back, but I still wonder if there is a connection. I guess I will just block it!

I was called by this number late April. It was a spoof by a middle aged writer.

I answered and the person said "Hi this is Joe from (unintelligible) Protection.  How are you doing today?" and then hung up.

It sounded like Chainlink Protection or something like that.  The number called is on the Do Not Call list, so I shouldn't have gotten the call.

I just got a call from this number, from someone who said "Hi, this is Joe from family protection." My caller id showed "DCFS Los Angeles". I hung up on the guy, but when I saw DCFS, I called them to tell them they had a wrong number in NJ. The number was answered by a recording offering a Walmart $100 gift card. Looks like the DCFS number was spoofed by this marketer. Don't answer this call if you get it.
